the hotel itself is cute, clearly freshly renovated, and good location. unfortunately, the bad outweighed the good by far. especially for paying almost $2K for a weekend stay in the 1-bed cabin — you can find significantly more beautiful, comfortable accommodations that can offer a much better experience in Stowe. our main issues are: 1. way too small for 3 people (the cabin fits up to 4, allegedly), honestly it’s small with just 2 people, especially given the price. 2. there is fluorescent lighting only throughout the room — even the reading lights above the bed. it is abysmal and genuinely hurt my eyes at night. 3. little to no privacy. there are only shades in the primary bedroom and bathroom. it’s so awkward to be able to make direct eye contact with someone in another cabin. we found it was truly uncomfortable to be in the cabin. 4. the housekeeping service was….borderline nonexistent. our towels were replaced and garbage taken out, and that was the maximum that ever happened throughout our stay. we were left without toilet paper two days in a row, nothing was ever wiped down or vacuumed, and beds were never made. these are extremely basic, low-bar expectations that weren’t even close to being met. 5. wifi straight up doesn’t work. also the TVs are awful, you can’t connect any external devices for streaming and the TV itself has none of your typical channels and frequently freezes because the wifi is so bad. i would attribute it to growing pains since the property is so new, but honestly, if you have ever even spent a night in a singular other hotel, one would know to expect better from such an expensive hotel. maybe if i were paying $100 a night, the service and experience would’ve been okay. unfortunately i could’ve stayed at the four seasons for this price and been way, way happier. alas. please stay somewhere else in Stowe as there are many beautiful hotels and B&Bs in the area.
