Tsitsikamma Village Inn

Such a beautiful hotel. Exceeded my expectations. I wish I could it a 5 for cleanliness but below my bed was a bit dirty and i hope they can check below the bed. Blanket a bit dirty too. Otherwise this hotel is underrated. I loved the whole setting and volllage and restaurant and service.

We have been to Tsitsikamma many times and have always wanted to stay here! Glad we made it this time although it was only for one night it was most enjoyable and would certainly stay again. Loved the solar panelling complex and the beautiful gardens and buildings. Was a shame about screaming children though! Hey! Ho!

We ensured that we book a room that was comfortable and convenient based on my preference and health reasons. To our surprise when we arrived we were given a different room ( worse in that vicinity). Room had a bad smell, shower looked old and untidy. We went back to the receptionist to complain and she insisted that, that was the room we booked for. Regardless of the fact that we had the pictures of the room from our booking. Com. After negotiating, she agreed to move us to a better “room’. While we were settling, we were told that the roo Is R4000 extra compared to the initial room. We tried to negotiate checking our earlier and we were told that we have to settle the whole amount as per our booking. We requested to be moved to a room same price as the previous room. The room looked old, carpet smelling, plastic chairs and stuffy. We ask for a microwave and they gave us‘reasons’ as to why we were accommodated in a room without microwave and fridge. Staff members were unfriendly and the bar staff were not even willing to give us ice. They locked the gate when they decided at night without notifying us and there was no security at the gate to open for us at night. We had to walk inside carrying out stuff, car parked outside to look for someone to open the gate for us. Breakfast meal, especially the fruits were always old, poor quality juice, tap water, same food everyday. They couldn’t even prepare scrambled eggs. Worse place we have visited and costly

The accommodation was old world and very comfortable . The breakfasts were amazing . The setting is lovely. The staff were helpful and excellent . I had to work at night and the WiFi went in and out but that’s my only suggestion .We had lunch in the pub which was delicious and offered gluten free options. The rooms were spacious but the bathrooms a bit old. Overall it is stunning and would recommend staying there .
