Travelodge by Wyndham Stony Plain

The Travelodge by Wyndham in Stony Plain, Alberta was the perfect place for my sister and I to rest our heads during our trip. We travelled from Ontario to Alberta for our brother's wedding, and everything we needed (as far as food, gas, activities, location) was perfectly close. The hotel's staff was incredibly kind, and our room (two queen size beds, mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, AC, cable TV) was exactly what we needed. Other hotels in the area were a bit more expensive, and we found that this location was perfect for our budget. It had everything we needed, and we are very happy with our stay!

Front desk staff were very nice at check in and check out. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Quiet place even though next to highway. Room price was good. The furniture is getting a like tired but I was told they are going to renovate. They need more plug ins to accommodate CPAP machines and night tables on each side of bed to put eyeglasses and jewellery. I would suggest 2 luggage racks should be in rooms since a couple would have 2 bags. I don’t like putting luggage on the floor. We would stay here again.

This hotel is the WORST we've ever stayed in in our lives! The bed in uncomfortable, squeaky and smells dirty.....this isn't even the worst. It is overly and obnoxiously loud! We didn't get to sleep until 1am with crew workers and guests coming in and out of their rooms by slamming doors, stomping, loud conversations only to be worked up at 4am with crew changes and doors opening and slamming till 7:45am! Just when we finally thought we could get a couple hours of sleep before check out the cleaning crews started cleaning on and opening and closing doors and being loud in the hallway! Asking them to start at the other end wasn't an option so we couldn't the very least get an hour of sleep. Calling the front desk resulted in being told we can give you a late check out which doesn't help when a person can friggen sleep in here to begin with! Unacceptable hotel to be called a Wyndham and to have to pay $140.00 a night for a place that in addition to being way beyond too noisy to sleep has squeaky beds, smelly pillows, loud A/C but it did drown out some of the slamming doors while it worked, dirty tub, and dirty floors! Disgusted and now out 140.00 with only being able to get 3.5 hours of sleep due to continuous loud banging noises. "We have several crews on different shifts, nights, mornings, days so there several coming and going all of the time" Can the cleaning ladies not clean over in this area first so we can at least get an hour of sleep " um well they need to do their jobs too", yes but as a paying guest we should have been able to get some sleep too, "well that is correct" I said oh believe you me we want to get the Beep out of here as fast as we can too. Won't be spoken too this way, clearly wasnt speaking to her that wayx apologized and asked for manager info and corporate. Told only the owner info email (Bob), and there's no corporate cause he owns it. I said out of all the Travelodge by Wyndham there's no corporate. Was told No. Clearly there is!

Unless your a junkie or a dealer you have no reason to stay in this dump You can smell smoke everwhere The staff basically hide in the front desk area and let absolute chaos run amuck everywhere else it does not feel safe there

We had to switch rooms cause our first room stunk really bad. The staff are nice. Breakfast is very basic for a free one. Pool is small but the kids liked it. Beds are comfy. A lot of ware and tear on the place. TVs are really small as well. Don’t expect much
