Room was perfectly set for disabled person tho a shower chair would have been a nice touch. Otherwise, can’t fault it. Fantastic service, excellent food and great stay. Would definitely go again. Special thanks to Josh, Gemma and Alan on breakfasts.

Booked for breakfast but was not staying there. We arrived was taken to our table then this man came over,no good morning, welcome ,nothing ,had a very unfriendly face and was very scuffy considering he said he was going to cook it.Then a young girl came over asked what we wanted to drink and if we wanted toast..Tea came no milk coffees came only to see there were no teaspoons .Ask for them and butter 4 littles packs were just thrown in the middle of the table and we were told no teaspoons clean "WHAT"so was given desert spoons unbelievable ,under normal circumstances I would have got up and told them to forget our breakfasts but we had family members with us .I had booked Sunday lunch but I cancelled it thank god can you imagine going in and having to eat with a folk and dessert spoon as no knives were clean. Also for £11.99 for a small breakfast very overpriced, which came with slice of black pudding cut in half now that was laughable. Also you advertised tomotoe which to me means tomotoe not from a tin of chopped tomotoes Come on owners check your staff this was unacceptable what we experienced and the man who cooked the breakfast hope he wore a beard net while he was cooking our breakfast

We spent one night at The Moon Inn and it was truly delightful. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Josh who was really friendly and took our bags to our well appointed bedroom. We stayed in the Black Harry suite, the bed was really comfortable and the bathroom had plenty of shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. We ate in the pub and had an excellent meal served by friendly efficient staff. I would not hesitate to recommmend the Moon Inn and would happily return for a longer stay.

The bed was very comfy and the young lady who greeted us, served our evening meal and breakfast was brilliant. Our room was comfy and clean and the meal was beautiful as was breakfast.

The blurb on this old pub neglects to mention that it is right on the busy A623 road with heavy trucks thundering past the door all night. Even with the windows closed we had disturbed sleep. Fortunately there wasn't much in the way of windows anyway, as they had blinds that would not close enough to stop the light. The outside of the building is very run-down and unwelcoming. The rooms are only accessible via outside steps and a horrid back door, past piles of old rubbish, making it difficult to get cases to the rooms. We had a surprisingly good dinner in a virtually empty room, but breakfast was pretty average with orange juice that tasted as though it had been watered down. Better places are available for the same money.

Been here 3 times now because it used to be great and it has now become VERY run down. The rooms are average at best, dirty and worn. Both shower doors were off the runners in the bathroom so we couldn’t get a shower. The restaurant has changed from Lunas Kitchen to something else - very very poor. No Gluten Free options except a chill that is £16 and looks like baby food. The service is also horrendous now, we didn’t have cutlery, our food was cold and when we told them it came back burnt. When I mentioned it the staff looked fuming (I was very polite and paid full price, didn’t request any discount). The bar staff dismissed me like I was personally offending him, I they were so so rude. I will not be coming back. Avoid this place.

Stayed near by at an air b n b, came for dinner on the Friday night, everything was great including a generous sized steak pie. Came back again Sunday afternoon for a roast which was equally as good. All food tasted great and was value for money. Staff also very friendly and accommodated us well having 2 young children.

My hubby & I came here for a weekend away in February & found the room to be clean, pleasant & warm with a lovely en suite. The bed was comfortable & really liked that we had a sofa in the room too. On our first night here we decided to try the pub for food & this is where it goes down hill. My hubby ordered the Moon burger with chips & side salad £18, I opted for the fish mornay with bread £16 as it didn’t come with any veg or potatoes or anything I chose some chips for an extra £4 ( veggies would have been the same ) My mornay was ok but nothing special but the burger …. Well, the burger itself was about 2in in diameter with a bit of half cooked bacon a bit of pickle and lettuce, a few chips & a bit of a side salad, & they forgot my chips, in fact they tried to say that my hubbys chips were mine lol 😂 anyway, needless to say we decided we should speak to the manager who took one look at the burger & said right away that there should have been 2 burgers in the bun, so off he goes to right the situation & sort my chips. Fair play nothing was too much trouble, he sorted everything, knocked money off our bill but on bringing my hubbys food back he put his hands on his burger, unfortunately his hands really could have done with coming into contact with soap and a nail brush. Now the breakfast, it’s continental, which was ok, if you wanted a cooked breakfast you payed extra, they knocked off the price of the continental. We had the continental on the first morning but on the second day we decided to try something cooked, I had poached egg on toast, my toast was burnt, totally tasteless, hubby had bacon, sausage & egg butty, no butter on the bread but plenty of grease. We decided to give it a miss on the 3rd day. They also offered a big or small cooked breakfast at £12 & £15 definitely not worth the money. It’s like the chef has had enough and can’t be bothered any more. The food here is definitely over priced. But the pub & accommodation are lovely & i’d definitely stay here again.

Last minute booking direct which they kindly accommodated on Christmas Day. Bed very uncomfortable Woken up very early by what sounded like an extractor fan. The mobile number for the landlord is incorrect and doesn’t ring through. Nowhere to checkout in the morning Could have stayed in much nicer places for the price paid Needs some updating
