The Frocester

Our Friendship Club had our annual Christmas dinner at the George and cannot complement the staff enough. There were 43 of us and the food was so good, came out piping hot, on time and each table served individually. Our members enjoyed it so much they asked the chef to come to the restaurant to thank him!!!, will definitely be back next year 🌲😀xx

Stayed here for 1 night for a local wedding reception. Fantastic hotel, amazing food and the staff were lovely. Bedroom was spotless and the breakfast was beautiful. Large car park, friendly locals who helped us arrange a taxi back from a local venue Will definitely return

Could find no faults with this comfortable inn. Staff friendly and the food WAS PERFECT. Highly recommend would certainly stay here again. I thought I had a complaint when I looked for milk for my coffee on the tray, not there ! BUT a mall bottle of fresh milk in the fridge. What a great touch.

We stayed overnight whilst down for a party in the village. We were really well looked after. Very helpful check in. Our room was a junior suite and was big and comfortable. A massive (by hotel standards) bath, comfortable bed, lots of little add ons and fresh milk was particularly appreciated. Very nice breakfast, freshly cooked to order. Lovely staff.

My husband and I have recently returned from a 3-day visit to Gloucester and had the good fortune to stay at the Frocester George, a 'Quality Inn'. Without doubt this is probably the finest country hotel we have ever been guests of. 'Quality Inns' is an appropriate title as everything about the Frocester George was first class quality. The reception staff were genuinely welcoming as were the waiting staff in the tastefully decorated, airy dining room. Our room, the deluxe suite, fully lived up to its name and was spacious and elegant with good storage. Its main feature was the largest, most comfortable bed we had ever seen or experienced in several global destinations. The piece de resistance, however, was the stunning, state-of-the art, massive bathroom, which contained an awesome power shower and a bath which could easily accommodate a small family car!!! The breakfast was served by the ever cheery Rachel, and equally amiable, Darren, and again were top quality, offering a huge full English, comprised of delicious fresh produce sourced from local farms, cooked to perfection. In short if you are ever in that area of Gloucester, treat yourself to this exceptional guest house, if you are fortunate enough to find availability.

Other reviews say it all. A pleasant welcome, helpful caring staff, the room was excellent and breakfast was great. Some road noise but all was quiet during the night. Would definitely go back.
