Hotel has been recently upgraded with excellent bathrooms and newly refurnished bedrooms.
Never stayed in this part of U.K. - thriving street market /street food event once per month; sense of a ‘fight back’ and good on them.

Good parking and easy to find. There was a £100 deposit I had to pay which wasn’t mentioned when booking the hotel. The room was nice but the shower had no water pressure and made it difficult to use.

I don’t thinking ever stayed anywhere so rude , not bothered about the people staying in there hotel if you are thinking of staying don’t go park up somewhere and sleep in your car it will be quieter the girl on reception was ok but seemed like they didn’t really care my breakfast was cold , no heating working the atmosphere was non existent

Visited the Crown, Stone with family for a curry evening. It was excellent, food choice and quality was superb, service was very good with great attention to detail. Brilliant and would highly recommend, will definitely be going back again soon.

Ok, good staff but no Internet first night, restaurant closed not so good for business travellers. No relly due to no Internet. First impressions, meh ! They also missedI had asked for breakfast, so overall a bit disappointing. They need to raise their game q bit.

We went to the Crown Hotel Stone on January the third 2025 for a meal with friends. The ambience of the hotel was delightful with wood panelling and a roaring log fire. Our waiter was most considerate and attentive. The food was delicious and first class. The portions were so generous we could not eat it all. Also, the price was very reasonable for such high quality fare. We could relax and chat without too much background noise. We will certainly be returning for another meal soon! We stayed here about 3 years ago. Very much improved, redecorated &great Christmas decorations. Reception was quick & efficient. Upgraded as my wife & I are in our 80s & disabled. Luggage was taken to our room. Very tidy & clean. Good facilities(coffee & tea.)Comfy large bed. Quiet location, free car parking. Hotel easy to locate.

No heating in hotel rooms and they are freezing, cemtral heating not operating and no portable heating provided, wind blows through room and bathroom windows, TV shows no terrestrial tv, but you could make tea with hot water which is excessively hot
