Only good thing about this hotel is the car park. When I arrived I was greeted by a chanting noise which seemed to be coming from an office after around 10 minutes a male appeared think his name was hasen something like that he was very rude while checking me in I had to keep repeating my self as he did not understand me the phone rang he answered no accuse me while I take this call very unprofessional. All night there was people up and down the landing banging I reported this but the staff was not interested in what I had to say so I went back to my room I had been down for a few times for a cigarette and there seemed as if the homeless all live at the hotel as they were hanging around on the front i went to speak to the man but he was not around i waited 20 minutes and gave up the worse night sleep I have ever had. In the morning there was a female staff on who was very helpfull and could not apologise enough for my experience of the hotel as I did not know the area and the hotel does not serve breakfast the lady told me of a couple of places to eat and where places where as I needed to somewhere this lady I wish I had of got her name she looked rushed off her feet and still managed to take the time to speak to me

One of the best hotels in Staffordshire. Surrounding area is beautiful. Stayed for 2 nights for business. Room was clean and lush. Breakfast was first class. All the staff are pleasant and professional. The black tie evening was brilliant. If you are looking for a hotel with a Savoy type service, try this hotel. Definitely deserves the crown. Then I woke up…

One of the best hotels in Staffordshire hand down. 5 star service. I was staying in the superior room. Excellent facilities with a hot tub in the room. Michelin standard restaurant. Tried the Sushi (compliments to the chef). The only downside I guess is that I felt I was slightly under dressed as the clientele is another level. Next morning I woke up and realised it was all a dream.

This so called hotel is never 2 star more like -1 , at the moment houses homeless people , that are asleep all day and awake all night, DO NOT BOOK , it has broken windows , smashed up furniture, fires in the rooms , people always hanging around the front door , the picture must have been taken years ago , as it definitely does not look like that now

This is the worst hotel i have ever seen in my kife. It is with a very sad heart I write to register my ill treatment at CROWN hotel at stoke on trent. The manager and a staff called Cala are not professional in discharging their duties.. First I was given a room I didn't like. They forced me to stay in the room. The manager insisted that because the room is okay for her therefore is okay for me. Imagine such when I am not your kid that you can control in any direction of your choice. This shows that I obviously do not have the right to make a choice at the age of 38. Secondly we were given a discount of £7 which made us to pay £90 for 3 night for our rooms. Having managed to stay for 7days, i wanted to rebook for another 5 days since i just came here for a two weeks training. I was rudely told by one of the staff (Cala) that the price has changed. I tried to explain to her that we were told to pay a certain amount by one of their staff that was on shift on Friday but she just said I can leave. I asked her is this how you address your customers and she walked out of us.after a few minutes she phone the manager and the manager ordered I leave the room that I won't be rebooked again even when I have accepted to pay the new price I was given. They could not even consider that I have spent 7days in their property. The manager came immediately and ordered I return their key and leave. I was thrown out of the hotel at about 7:25pm by the manager who did not even allow me to explain in details what actually happened. I am pretty sure that all this happened just because I am black skinned if I was a white skinned,I am pretty sure I will not be treated in that manner. I know my review may not add or change anything but I CANNOT even recommend this hotel to my enemy.

Looks great from the outside. However walls are damp with peeling paper, everything is dated , faded or dirty, Door lock isn’t secure so my girls feel safe. Towels were dirty and bed clothes had hair all over them. Shower cubicle was dirty and stained. Tiles were broken and sticking out with sharpe edge. Not enough pillows and they had no spare. When challenged and asked about room they were fully booked so no swap available and manager wasn’t there til morning. Refund unavailable. Both girls were feeling very itchy when they left with bite marks showing in skin.

Where do I start!! The rooms were disgusting!! It’s cheap £68 for 2 nights I wouldn’t even let my dog stay there!! Mould everywhere, windows that don’t lock, trip hazards in the bathroom, filthy taps!! Lots of undesirables loitering around the area!! A front room door that is so secure a child could break in from the outside!! The receptionist rang the manager as I wanted a refund after been shown 3 rooms 1 apparently just been decorated by her boyfriend wow what a joke this place really is!! Sort of place you wipe your feet on the way out !! Then to be told no refunds and the accountant is away until Monday!! I then spoke to a man who worked there turns out he was the accounted and blanky refused me a refund as is was against their policy even though the rooms were not fit for purpose !! I would not recommend this hotel 1 bit not even worthy of 1 star!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

Don’t know what else everyone else is talking about the staff are lovely and put your safety first, will also have a laugh with you accept some bit*h at the front who I think has been sacked. Rooms decent. Got a bathroom and shower. You get what you paid for.

Do not stay here!! I made a booking through *********** for the crown hotel in stoke on Trent. The hotel was not as advertised when we arrived. There is an insecure car park to the rear of the property where local individuals were stood staring at us and were very interested in our arrival and the car we arrived in. We did not feel safe or safe to leave our vehicle unattended for too long. As we entered the hotel there were broken windows leading into the reception and the whole area upstairs and downstairs stank of stale smoke. As we made our way to our room there were two boarded up windows and various smashed window panes at the hotel. Our room had mould with the wall paper peeling off of the ceiling and there was what looked like damp. There were cracked tiles all over the bathroom floor and the bath was a stained yellow colour. The bed and floor had various unidentifiable staines. The room was not fit for purpose and I do not feel that this hotel should be advertised as a suitable hotel on *********** and the hotel is disgusting and clearly not fit for purpose. Unfortunately I did not get photos as we did not stay long enough to get them before we left after booking a better hotel.
