Outdated hotel needs a fresh look food was ok when it came out hot but majority of the time stone cold . You had to walk via a glass tunnel to get to your room shower was small but nice hot water no plugs by the best side staff were pleasant but over all it needs knocking down and rebuilding

Just returned from a package deal weekend break at the hotel. The accommodation is linked to the main building by a canopy getting to the building is cold yes. It's February wear a jacket! It's not really an issue. The rooms are lovely and warm some stuff is dated but everything is very clean and functional and the beds and pillows comfy. The staff are very good and friendly. The food breakfast, lunch and supper was hot and lovely. There was a good selection of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. The hotel is a great place to unwind in and we came home thankful for having a very relaxing weekend break. As said we were on a package deal that we thought was very good value for money. Only one thing room 67 toilet seat would not stay up and just needed adjusting but a tiny problem but everything was fab and would definitely stay again.

All rooms are accessed by a long covered tunnel and our room was the furthest away from the main hotel. Although the food was good that was the only positive thing I could say about it. Old and needs updating. Would not recommend or return unfortunately

Just back from a two night stay at this hotel with three other married couples and friends on a DBB deal and I've got to say it was outstanding value for money, the hotel is spotless rooms are spacious comfy and well decorated but the real standout in this hotel is the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food absolutely on point both breakfast and Dinner, Drinks in the bar were no more expensive than you would expect in a Bar and they even threw in an evening of song and laughter by the very talented Scottish Musician Gary MacAlba Speirs he was brilliant, all in all great location to visit a beautiful part of Scotland the trossachs at outstanding value for money just loved this hotel and its staff well done. Mr & Mrs Angus.

Absolutely lovely place to take a break. Tranquil, attractive setting with lots of walks on the door step, starting with one suitable for the less able. Rooms are spacious, clean, warm and comfortable. I always appreciate hotels that included an armchair. Everywhere clean and well kept. Very comfortable bed, even for a fusspot like me. Food is of a high standard. Fresh vegetables with meals. The smoked mackerel perfect, the roast beef so tender with delicious gravy. Substantial breakfast, sausages and black pudding deserve a special mention. Plenty of choice for evening meals.Entertainment so enjoyable, the room was hopping. All the staff are professional, hard working, and well turned out.

The room was clean and warm slept comfortably except for the room noise above us creaking floorboards and heavy feet at 3am. Warm welcome friendly staff. We were part of a coach group for Xmas, breakfast was really good plenty of choice. Evening meals, the food served was good quality but there was a lack of vegetables and portions were small, children's portions are usually larger. Christmas Dinner was not good, soup, main course again lack of vegetables two small slices of rubbery turkey, and a very thin slice of Xmas pudding. But the same evening there was a buffet meal which was exceptional, plenty of choices and plenty of it, so this made up slightly for the Christmas dinner. Our stay took in Edinburgh and Glasgow and we also had a nice walk into the village of Aberfoyle although being Christmas day everywhere was closed, but it was enjoyable and the scenery lovely. Overall our stay was good and the entertainment was also good. Just a shame about the potions at dinner.

I stayed here with a coach trip for Christmas. My room was warm and comfortable. The staff were excellent, especially the swift way food orders were taken and delivered. Speaking of food, it was great. Plenty for breakfast and dinner was top quality. There was entertainment and it was great. All in all, I had a great time.
