My family was so excited about staying in this castle. Beautiful rooms, nice area and grounds. Delicious breakfast. All for a great price.

Fantastic , we were made so welcome by all the staff, food very good quality and very reasonably priced . We had the steak and bottle of wine offer £38 for two. Breakfast was freshly cooked with all fresh and local produce. Our room and the hotel very clean would definitely recommend and we will be returning thank you for a lovely stay .

We will NOT be staying here again! The manager named P.K. was extremely helpful on our second day and very apologetic for lack of facilities and the poor treatment received from the previous nights staff. The outside of the property was pleasant in appearance. On our first night (room 14)- no hot water, staff unhelpful and rude, Informed no other room to change to. Windows would not open wide enough for fire exit and one wouldn't open at all. Blinds were no use as there were no hooks to secure them onto when closed. Sockets came out of wall when plugs were removed. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Food was adequate. Appeared quickly and tasted reheated/not freshly cooked. The chair legs wouldn't hold a heavier set person. Breakfast buffet was ok. However the restaurant staff were very helpful and welcoming. On our second night (room 7) - this change of room was provided by P.K. who was the new very helpful and kind manager on duty that morning. She informed us that she was unaware of our no hot water situation and thought we should have been moved last night as this room (room 7) was available last night. She provided guidance to the new room and showed us around and gave us the keys. Unfortunately, even though we were now pleased to have hot water and comfortable beds this room came with a further issue of the noisiest floorboards one has ever experienced. Not only could we not use the room without waking the other occupants but neither could our upstairs neighbours as it would appear their floorboards were just as awful. Not only did both floors creak extremely loudly with every step but there were loose boards that appeared to give way underfoot. It was very disappointing that we had to not only tune in the tv to be able to use it but even then, only got 7 channels. The taps are not secured to the sink so when turned on and off the whole tap rotates. Room 7 was the room we had originally booked so when we arrived to room 14 we were shocked as it was not at all what we had expected. We cannot understand how this hotel holds a 3 star rating. I had read very mixed reviews about this hotel, most not very complimentary. As I was looking for accommodation for 1 night & there was very little choice I took the chance & booked 3 rooms. Now several months later I have been advised at the last minute that the rooms were overbooked therefore my booking has been cancelled. Not impressed.

We recently held my fathers funeral service at this venue. Beautiful location in the village where my family live so it was close and convenient for us and family attending. The car park is a shambles, delivery vans arriving as people were trying to park, no designated area for the funeral party. Staff outside chatting next to the here. During the funeral service we struggled to hear what was being said over the loud noise of lots & pans being bashed around in the kitchen which is adjacent to the main venue area. Totally disrespectful and upsetting for myself, my mother and my immediate family not to mention the guests who attended. Emails have been sent to complain but no response given from the owner. Totally out of order. I will never use this venue again for any event, their lack of compassion & respect is disgraceful.

One night was enough, not really a castle been a baronial home, school and laterally a care home before being an hotel. Basically clean with sparse furnishings and broken lift. Nice big bath in our room but with only a tiny trickle of hot water it would’ve taken forever to fill. Disappointed there was no outside seating as the weather was glorious and we were stuck inside. Won’t be back.

It was a castle so the loud squeaky floors and hearing everything going on above and below the floor our room was on wasn’t a surprise. The cleanliness was an issue. They did eventually find someone who would take care of the issue but we were asked to leave the room and go downstairs after we had just showered and were going to bed when we discovered the issue. It was probably an hour later we finally got to bed after returning to the room and the issue not being resolved but waiting for someone to come up because nobody else on the staff knew how to make a bed. The bed ended up being rock hard. In the end if I would’ve known the outcome we probably should have said nothing, grabbed towels and slept on the couches in the room.

What a beautiful place. The staff was so friendly. The place was clean and the food was great. We had a few pints at the bar and Logan the bar tender kept us entertained. We would definitely stay there again.

Great place to stay if you are visiting Stirling - not far from the Wallace Memorial and close to the picturesque Blairlogie. The room was nice and spacious with a very comfortable four poster bed. Excellent restaurant with generous size portions and very attentive staff.
