I stayed here for one night. I am also a fulltime independent wheelchair user. When I checked in the receptionist asked if I wanted to book (and pay for) breakfast for the next morning. She gave me no further information other than telling me that breakfast was served in the Beefeater across the car park. The next morning, I went into the Beefeater for my continental breakfast to be faced with a stony faced employee who pointed down the steep stairs and told me that the breakfast items were "down there". When I enquired as to how I was going to manage the stairs in my wheelchair, he said that the items were "on the menu" and then disappeared, returning briefly only when he had to book other guests in. Luckily I had someone with me but it was incredibly demeaning having to ask them to get me what I wanted from downstairs. I would have liked to choose which fresh fruit I had, how well cooked my toast was, how much milk I had on my cereal etc, etc. I was reduced to the status of a child having to ask another guest to go up and down the stairs to get my breakfast for me. To make matters worse (if they could be) there were only 2 tables that weren't downstairs which were right in front of the door. It was a frosty morning and each time the door was opened, an icy chill swept into the room. The receptionist was quick enough to take my money for breakfast but never once mentioned that where the breakfast was served was totally unaccessible to me. Had I known this in advance I would have either arranged to have breakfast elsewhere or stayed in a different hotel altogether. If you have difficulties with mobility and wish to eat on site, do NOT book this hotel.

Overall first comments : car park unkempt, weeds growing everywhere and in a very shoddy state. Room was ok and reception did well. Dreadful restaurant experience. The table numbers were apparently ‘wrong’. So service was very slow then they tried to give me food that had been left on another table for >10 minutes thinking I was blind and deaf to the goings on. I was shocked. Long story short - meal fully refunded as it was gross. Just hope I don’t get food poisoning from the barely cooked burger.
