Do not stay here if you are expecting a five or even a four star hotel.
Key negatives:
- We advised it was our honeymoon and no arrangements / special occasion were arranged even after reminding the manager
- No onsite gym - this is outsourced
- No onsite SPA - this is outsourced
- Carpeted shared areas which was smelly
- Dated decor throughout including bathroom
- Beds were queen size and rock solid with uncomfortable pillows
- Tram line over looks the pool which goes by throughout the day every 15mins or so
- Roadside noise
- One lady was very helpful and nothing was to big an ask - however the rest of the reception staff were terrible.

Luxurious stay at this residence. We enjoyed the big room with the fire place. Dinner at the restaurant was great and also the breakfast options were excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The complimentary shuttle to the centre is great but it was also a nice walk to get there. Thank you for having us!

WOW! What a property. It was a glorious castle of a place. The rooms made you feel like you were in an episode of Bridgerton! Spectacular rooms with beautiful decorations and atmosphere. Lots of places to sit and relax with real fires and service to get drinks so you don't have to move. Gorgeous grounds and wonderful scenery. Pricey but totally worth it!

We had a wonderful weekend staying at Franschhoek country house and villas. From attentive and friendly staff, to sherry on arrival, heated pool, open fires and delicious food at the restaurant.

My huaband and I had the most amazing time staying at Franschhoek Country House and Villas. From the friendly staff, amazing hospitality and cosy Villa suite. We felt welcomed from the minute we got there until we left. The staff was very helpfull. Would definitely recommend this wonderful spot to anyone coming to Franschhoek. You won't be disappointed.

A truly stunning property, it’s a calm and beautiful place to stay in Franschhoek. The staff are knowledgeable, very friendly, and helpful. The rooms are spacious, cozy, and beautifully decorated. Breakfast is delicious, and the complimentary shuttle service makes it easy to get around.

This was our favourite stop on the garden route, We stayed for 2 nights in one of the cottages, Oh how beautiful this whole place is even when the weather wasnt great. The cottage was wonderful with its own lounge and two outside seating areas. The grounds were immaculate with two pools, one heated, you could see the steam rising from it. It was, however, the staff that made it perfect. Especially one of the managers, who, sadly, ive forgotten her name. The restaurant was exquisite, the food amazing, it left me wanting more. We used the wine tram and we could see one of the stops from our patio. I would highly recommend this if you are travelling this way.
