Beautiful, spacious rooms in the centre of town. It was such a pleasure to stay here. Incredible breakfast by a really kind and helpful team. The pictures do not do this hotel justice. Thank you De Hoek.

Have been lucky enough to go to Stellenbosch a couple of times over the last few years, and when I return I will be looking no further than De Hoek Manor as it is a wonderful place to stay. Location is excellent with everything that you want within easy walking distance, but the building itself is the star as it is a lovely place to call home for a few days, especially if you are looking for somewhere to relax and chill a bit after some hectic days in Cape Town. Accomodation is beautiful with lovely rooms and plenty of areas to just sit and chill if you are looking to relax for a couple of hours. Lounge area with the balcony is just a really pleasant place to spend time, and even though the Manor was fully occupied during our recent stay, it never feels busy and you can always find an area that is out of the way if you are looking for some time alone to relax. Thanks to all of the staff who were excellent, but a special thank you to Ilse who is a lovely lady and a wonderful host. Ilse has a great knowledge of the local area and clearly has some great contacts that she can recommend for local activities and vineyard visits. Would be more than happy to recommend if you are looking to stay in this area.

Nice hotel with many dining options within walking distance. Breakfast was okay quality and plentiful. It’s a historic building so expect quirks and creaks. Staff are very nice!

At the I booked I didn’t realize how perfectly located this property is. Park in the gated lot across the street. Shops, museums, botanical garden, and the delicious Fat Butcher restaurant are all within a few minutes walk.

Wonderful and comfortable
The manager and staff were very welcoming and friendly.
The hotel is very charming and service is top and classy touches.
In the center of town close to all restaurants and bars as well as art galleries.
The breakfast was very well presented and the best omelettes I e had in a hotel ever.

We have stayed here a number of times over the years and I must say it’s fabulous. The staff are all excellent, nothing is too much trouble. The breakfast is great and the rooms are well furnished, big and beautifully serviced daily. There’s a safe and fridge in the room. The bathrooms are well equipped and have nice powerful showers. Good aircon too. Parking is across the street in secure parking and the location is perfect for a stay in Stellenbosch.

A great, quaint guesthouse in the heart of stellenbosch. Room was clean and beautiful, breakfasts were very good and high quality. The staff were so welcoming and warm. We would definitely return!
