We had a very cool time at the winery, beautiful grounds, cool rooms, great pool, delicious breakfasts and of course wine😍😍😍
We had a room on the 2nd floor with a terrace with sun loungers - it was actually a separate class - in the morning before breakfast it was very nice to soak up the sun ❤️
Special thanks to the hotel staff from the reception😅 we forgot everything in the safe deposit box🙈 our passports, licenses, all the money and a tablet🙃🙃🙃, we came to our senses 300 km later at Cape Agulhas when checking into another hotel, contacted Spier, ordered a courier from Cape Town and Everything was delivered to us safe and sound in the evening❤️❤️❤️

We have just left the hotel and in general, we had a wonderful visit. The Segway ride was amazing round the farm and the Instructor very helpful explaining the vineyard. The Vadas restaurant was lovely food, with lovely staff, the Picnic Cafe staff were rude and very unhelpful. We felt they just didn’t know what to do. I the Main restaurant, very good food and super attentive staff, wine was obviously a plus. Breakfast this morning seems to be issues, getting coffee and tea. Staff really not organised and rushing about reacting rather than being organised when a new customer arrives. Will defo be back, at some time in the future.

We stayed at Spier for 2 nights, having been keen to go back after a wine tasting here the previous year. We were not disappointed; the staff are all so lovely, welcoming and friendly - we didn’t meet a single person who wasn’t great. The room was lovely and spacious, quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was excellent, especially being able to eat on the terrace. The spa is fantastic and very reasonably priced. The options for dining are great - the picnic we had was fabulous, the hog house is lovely and relaxed, the farm to table dining experience was one of the best we had in SA. Cannot wait to return.

The welcoming staff on reception were so lovely and helpful. The room was little dated, but very comfortable and very clean. The breakfast was OK - but the evening meal was divine. There is lots to do at Spier - it is a lovely place to stay for a few days.

When looking for a location of our mini-moon post getting married we looked for a wine estate that caters to multiple needs as we like to explore the activities that are available. Spier did not disappoint as there is a range of activities to do from lounging in the pool, wine tasting through to experiencing a picnic with picturesque views. Staff were very friendly throughout and made our stay all the better! They provided great recommendations as to which activities to do when to maximise our short stay! The stay met our expectations of the wine which we already place in high esteem
