It is about 6-8 minutes walking distance to the nearest bus stop. If it’s raining, it’ll not be a good option. Overall, we have a good experience here with renovated room and tasty breakfast at 21F.

The Hotel is ok, the rooms looks great but small. When we arrived at the evening 1900, we checked in and we went to the top floor to eat. When we arrived, the resturante was full. 2 busses was on the way. There were no info about this in front or when we cheked in by the staff. We were lucky to get one plait with food with us, but had to eat om the floor! In the rom. With late income from Kristiansand, no dinner with the kids. This is not ok and recomend others to check when you arrive or before your stay!
Response from Property: Dear guest, I’m sorry that we couldn’t meet your expectations you and your family had when visiting us. We are happy to see that you found the rooms, location and sleep quality to be a 4 out of a 5. Like any other restaurant it may be full. Whether it is by hotel guests or guests from the outside. There is no possible way for the hotel to keep all guests informed about this. We always recommend guests to make a booking before, especially during the summer holidays as many guests travel at the same time. You arrived at the restaurant at 19.00. The restaurant is open until 21.00 so it would be possible to get a table in the restaurant if you were able to wait a little. If you rate the hotel a 2 out of 5 due to a full restaurant at the time of your arrival, we can only apologize for this. It is difficult for us to understand why you write that you were able to get one plait and eat on the floor of your hotel room. This must have been entirely your own choice. The hotel has sitting groups both in the lobby and on the 2nd floor that you could have used. Our restaurant team and our 24-hour reception would be happy to advise you about this if you had asked for help. Since you paid for a buffet, you would also have been welcome to serve yourself several times, so we are a little surprised about this review. We thank you for staying with us, and we do hope to see you again! Kind regards, Lars – General Manager

We checked in at midnight after a delayed flight. Lady at the reception was very friendly and the check in didn’t take more than 5 min. Enough space for our family of 5 together in one room. The kids loved the bunk bed. Modern Norwegian style breakfast. Great view from the 11th floor where our room was located.
Response from Property: Dear stefaniehV4998BI, We are so pleased to see that you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. It’s nice to see that you found the check in to be quick and efficient. After the renovation of the hotel, we now offer more rooms suitable for families up to 5 persons in one single room. Nice to see that you enjoyed the view from your room on the 11th floor. The next time you visit you may also enjoy the view from the 21st floor as you enjoy the breakfast in the morning. This floor was closed for renovations when you visited us.

The hotel was OK, the check-in staff were lovely but the management were terrible. We made a complaint and they threatened to evite us from the hotel. The breakfast was terrible and so disorderly no were to sit. The food was shocking bad. The room my lad stayed was so small it was rubbish.
Response from Property: Dear N3643Rscottf, we are so sorry to read that you did not have a good stay with us. Your review is anonymous, and I can therefore not look into the matter. I can assure you that we never threatened to evict guest from the hotel. There must have been a very unusual situation that occurred for this to happen. If you would like to sort this matter with us, I urge you to take contact with me directly as we only know this story based on this review.

The hotel lies in the great location of the city. With its height, you can enjoy beautiful scenery while having meals. The breakfast is absolutely the highlight. There, you will not only have everything you want to eat in the morning, but also the typical norwegian salmon meal. A tip: registered member can get great discount for booking rooms. It would make the value of the hotel the best one in Stavanger! Recommendable!
Response from Property: Dear kythenry, first accept our apologies for the late reply to your review. We are so pleased to read your great review from your visit last August. The hotel is now conducting a total refurbishment. We hope you would like to try it out after the completion in January 2024. Kind regards, Lars - General Manager

If you value yourself, and a good night's sleep is important to you, stay somewhere else. It seems that the hotels' ongoing rennovation (3 out of 21 floors) is the excuse for basic services and provisions not being supplied or prioritised. I think the most disappointing part of this stay (which my neck is still suffering from) is the poor excuse for a pillow - how can a hotel get something as fundamental as the pillows so wrong? Only saving grace is the lovely ladies who work there.
Response from Property: Dear Vamoscheers, we are so sad to see that we didn’t meet your expectations for your stay with us. First, I would like to clarify that we are renovating the entire hotel, not just a few floors. All rooms and all common areas will be renovated. We started mid November 2022 and will continue until end of January 2024. We are renovating three and tree floors at the time. Everything will be changes and new. All pillows and duvets are changes alongside the renovations. Again, we are very sorry that we could not impress you during your stay with us. Should you like to try us out again after we are completed with the renovation, we recommend you visit us from late January 2024. With regards, Lars – General Manager

Hotel is fine when you plan to stay for a short duration. The diner buffer is really not worth the money. Also the manly staff and chef in the restaurant are not friendly. The reception tries to give a good service. Parking garage is pretty expensive.
Response from Property: Dear ricardokY9295DW, Thank you so much for your review and for taking the time to tell us about your impression of us. We are very sorry about the very late reply to your review. Since you visited us, the buffet is replaced with an a la carte menu ant the hotel is now under refurbishment. I would just like to inform you that the parking garage is public, not run by the hotel. The price for 24 hours parking is NOK 140 (if you keep parked). This is approximately half price of what you can expect to pay in the city center. I thank you for staying with us, and I really hope you would like to try us out when the refurbishment is done by the end for January 2024. With regards, Lars – General Manager

We stayed for two nights. Room was comfortable with a superb view. The breakfast area on the 21st floor was amazing with excellent variety of food. It is well accessible by bus or taxi from the old town.
Response from Property: Dear Monish S, first accept our apologies for the late reply to your review. We are so pleased to read your great review from your visit last July. How lovely to read that you enjoyed the complimentary breakfast from the top floor. The hotel is now conducting a total refurbishment. We hope you would like to try it out after the completion in January 2024. We hope to see you back again then. Kind regards, Lars - General Manager

The first thing to say is that I booked the wrong hotel. I thought I was booking the Thon hotel in central Stavanger. I was a bit nonplussed to find out that I had actually booked one 4 KM out of the centre. That being said, I was very happy that I did. It is very easy indeed to get in to the centre of town. Busses run every 15 minutes or so, 300m from the hotel to the centre of town. Also, a huge plus was that if you need a bit of a respite from the hustle and bustle (?) of Stavanger, there is a great walk round the lake right next to the hotel. As it turned out, the location was great. The hotel itself is in a fairly iconic Stavanger building - it even has a nickname - the Mobile Phone! The views from the rooms on the higher floors are astounding. The roomsare more than adequate - clean and comfortable with fridge and kettle. The rooms themselves are a bit on the small side perhaps, but more or less what you expect from a modern hotel these days. Breakfast is served in the roof top restaurant, where you can gorge yourself on a full Norwegian Breakfast (like a full English breakfast, only without the risk of heart attack), while admiring a truly stunning view. The restaurant also serves as a bar at night and it a great place for a sun-downer. The thing about Norway in Summer is that you can combine a sundowner with a nightcap! It is expensive, but this is Norway! The prices in Norwegian terms are reasonable. We regretted not being able to try the dinner buffet. It looked delicious. The staff could not have been more helpful. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome. My abiding impression was that they were truly happy in their work! I strongly recommend this hotel. By the way, as an added extra, if you have free day in Stavanger, go to Flor og Fjære. It is truly mind-blowing.
Response from Property: Dear JohnL81, we are so happy that you booked the wrong hotel when it turns up to be a great mistake for you in the end. Thank you so much for charing your review with us! We will be starting a full renovation this fall, so the «Mobile Phone» will return to its well derserved beauty once again by next summer. Please come wisit us again, just remember to not make the wrong choice. Thank you for staying with us at Thon Partner Stavanger Forum Hotel. On behalf of all the staff, we hope to see you again! Kind regards, Lars - General Manager

I picked this hotel as accommodation is limited in Stavanger due to a bank holiday and an upcoming music(?) festival. I was very fortunate to get a room. I am sure you have read about this place, but lets start from another angle. I needed an extra 2 nights as the vessel is late in arriving in Stavanger. Somehow they pulled the "rabbit out of the hat" Everything is nice. Only one small niggle - the shower catchment is not working too well. Be prepared to have a wet bathroom floor. Nice substantial breakfast. And it comes with a view like nothing else. Bed is very comfy. Room is does not have the ultimate view as the breakfast lounge but look at the two pics attached. It is different from anything submitted. I liked the artwork, wooden sculpture against the wall. I can sip many coffees there and stare at it. Oh I do like talking to the very helpful and friendly staff. It is sooo different than the people whom I have to work with. Thanks again!!! And those that did not pick this hotel....you need to come back and do it Forgot to say. It is 150m walk to the bus stop. And there are several buses stopping to and from center.
Response from Property: Dear Dirk, we are so pleased to see that you really enjoyed your stay with us at Thon Partner Stavanger Forum Hotel. We are pleaced to see that you enjoyed talking to our staff and that art and views from the breakfast restaurant on the top floor was like "nothing else". This fall our hotel will be totally refurbished, making it even more spectacular. We hope you would like to come back and re visit us again. Thank you for staying with us! Best ragards from the Team at Stavanger Forum Hotel.
