"This was the best travel experience of my trip! Everything was seamless, from emailing to book restaurants and arrange airport pick-up, to the check-in process itself. The ladies at the front desk were incredibly warm and provided excellent service. They even offered a complimentary car ride to the hotel next door the following day, which was such a thoughtful touch. The room was absolutely impeccable, with a beautiful wooden aesthetic. Given the natural environment, there tend to be more mosquitoes, but they thoughtfully provided mosquito repellent on the first day. As for the restaurants, I dined at The Arundina Restaurant for both meals. The staff there were so enthusiastic and even offered to take photos for me. One young lady with big eyes particularly stood out; I regret not getting her name. Dining while watching the sunset was simply divine! The hotel also offers many activities, most of which are free to join, including island-hopping tours. All in all, this was a perfect trip, and I'll definitely be back in Krabi next time. -Sonia"

"Our stay at Banyan Tree was truly exceptional from start to finish. The excellent service began even before we officially checked in. We arrived early and requested an early check-in, but our reserved room was not yet ready. Instead of simply asking us to wait, the hotel kindly arranged another room for us to relax in until our booked accommodation was prepared. This thoughtful gesture immediately made us feel welcomed and set the tone for a wonderful stay. Throughout our trip, every restaurant provided outstanding service. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful, and every meal was a pleasure. The beach was stunning, clean, and well maintained, making it a perfect place to relax. We stayed in a 2-Bedroom Pool Villa, and the view was absolutely breathtaking. The villa was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably maintained. The swimming pool was clean and inviting, and every detail of the property reflected the high standards of the resort. What impressed us most was the staff. Everyone greeted us warmly with genuine smiles and kindness. Their hospitality made us feel truly valued throughout our stay. Honestly, we could not find a single fault. Banyan Tree made our trip incredibly memorable and happy. If there were an option to give 10 stars, we would gladly do so."

"Hotel buffet breakfast was good with wide varieties. Their pastries were so good, even had freshly baked croissant hourly. However, the kids club and gym were under maintenance and relocated to ballroom and boutique respectively. Hotel provided free ice cream for kids daily as compensation. The room condition need to be improved whereby the closet door was hard to push and shower head is leaking, two of the lights were not functioning well. Pillows were too soft compared to the sofitel we stayed in bali few years ago. Room cleaning done twice a day were impressive."

"Check-in experience was not very smooth. We arrived early and had to wait quite a long time for check-in, and the hotel also arranged the wrong room type initially. The lobby was quite hot and not very comfortable while waiting. However, the room itself was clean and the bed was very comfortable, which made the stay pleasant overall. One thing to note: the jacuzzi tub is placed on the balcony instead of inside the bathroom. This makes it a bit inconvenient as it can be seen from nearby rooms, so privacy is limited and it’s not very suitable for a fully relaxing soak. Overall, the experience was still good, but the check-in process and jacuzzi layout could be improved."

"The location is great, just steps from the beach with restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel itself has a massage parlor, a bar, and dining options. I stayed in a family garden view room, which was on the second floor after walking through a pathway past the pool. The room was well-equipped, and I discovered a hidden door. When I opened it, it led to the adjacent room, suggesting these rooms can be connected to form a suite. Just in case, I moved the table and chairs behind the door before going to sleep. It happened to be raining, so there might be mosquitoes; I recommend bringing insect repellent. The hotel's bar and dining were good, and the breakfast offered a wide variety. There were many Caucasian and Indian guests during my stay. The massage parlor was excellent, with private rooms and comfortable techniques."

"This is the second Banyan Tree Hideaway I've stayed at; the first was in Bali. It's undoubtedly the most luxurious experience in all of Krabi, bar none. With only 54 villas in the entire hotel, even at full occupancy, there are only about a hundred guests, ensuring peace and privacy. I stayed for three days and never left the hotel premises. The restaurant's Thai food is among the top 10% in all of Thailand, far surpassing many 'influencer' restaurants. Our butler, Sun, is Thai and has visited China. Many of the staff members have interned at hotels in China for several years. By the second day, whether it was the regular service staff or the restaurant staff, they all knew my name, addressing me as Mr. So-and-so or Ms. So-and-so. It truly felt like coming home. They were always ready to chat with you, though this might feel a bit uncomfortable for those who are socially anxious. Hong Island is a complimentary hotel excursion, departing at 9 AM daily from the private beach at the hotel's Sunset Bar, returning at 12 PM. Water and towels are provided free of charge, and you only need to pay a 300 baht island entrance fee. If you wish, you can go every day. Upon your return, your butler and the Sunset Bar staff will be lined up with drinks, iced towels, and a car, ready to welcome you back. Honestly, a room costing over ten thousand per night is truly incomparable to the Banyan Tree next door. It's not that Banyan Tree is bad; they just have completely different concepts. The Hideaway is also different from a traditional Ritz-Carlton, considering there are only 7 such properties worldwide (some say 9, I haven't confirmed). You need to show your check-in confirmation at the entrance; outsiders are not allowed into the hotel. Privacy, privacy, privacy is the main focus throughout your stay. Finally, you have a good chance of seeing small lizards, but crocodiles are much harder to spot – it's purely luck. They don't bite, but of course, don't provoke them; after all, they are wild animals. I hope this helps anyone planning a trip."

"The hotel has a beautiful location and the beach is truly excellent. The room was also comfortable and nicely designed. The staff are generally friendly and polite. However, this hotel definitely does not meet 5-star standards. There was no security or lifeguard at the pool or the beach, which is very concerning, especially for families with children. The staff are kind, but there is almost no proactive service. You need to explain everything twice and personally find someone if you need assistance. Housekeeping was also below expectations. Towels and tissues were not replenished unless we specifically requested them. Nothing in the room was refreshed automatically. Even more disappointing, the WiFi was cut off immediately after we checked out. One particularly unpleasant experience happened at the restaurant by the beach. I briefly stepped inside in my swimsuit just to call my child. I explained that we were leaving immediately to change and would return for dinner properly dressed. Instead of a polite reminder, I was told in a harsh tone that I had to leave immediately and that proper clothing was required. The way it was handled felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Overall, the hotel is nice in terms of location and beach quality, but the service level and overall management do not justify a 5-star rating."

"The room was very spacious and clean, making for a very comfortable stay. I especially loved the hotel's private beach – it was clean, not crowded, and felt very safe, with excellent facilities. I really enjoyed my time here; the staff were all incredibly nice and accommodating. Definitely worth another visit!"

"The scenery is absolutely stunning, and the beach is incredible! The forest environment is very tranquil; I got lost every day, and there were even cute lemurs~ The room was also excellent, very spacious and tidy, with a Southeast Asian decor style. The hotel service was also great, with plenty of activities, and the breakfast and afternoon tea were very good. The hotel's cave restaurant and Thai restaurant were surprisingly delicious, and combined with the scenic views, it offered fantastic value for money! The only issue is that the round-trip transportation costs extra and is quite expensive, but I still absolutely love this hotel and would definitely come back if I get the chance."
