"The room was clean and everything looked brand new. The towels and bed linen were in excellent condition, and the staff were very friendly. However, I would have appreciated a thicker mattress topper, as I could feel every spring through the mattress. The firmness of the bed caused me to wake up several times during the night because my body felt stiff and numb. Also, the pillows were too high for my personal comfort. Considering all this, the price of this hotel is very low compared to others, which is undoubtedly a big plus❤️ These are just my personal preferences, but I hope this feedback helps for future improvements."

"Depends what you are looking for in a beach resort of this price range. Pros: clean, air con powerful and cool, strong water pressure and water heats fast. Has an elevator to room for those not staying in chalets.direct access to beach. Pool is small but clean. Large balcony with drying rack I was also very impressed by the water proofing of the shower screen..Absolutely no water leaked out and there is no pooling of water outside the shower area Cons: dated furniture, faucet is corroded, amenities are very sad, (bring your own or buy from 711), no bedroom slippers, mattress is the luck of draw. I had a firm mattress but my friend's was sagging and too soft. Overall, great location, wear and tear and no frills room"

"A good hotel right in the centre of Chaweng beach, there’s a lot of bars around and can get noisy but we had a room at the back near the pool and couldn’t hear anything from outside at night. The hotel was clean and had lots of good restaurants just along the street so was perfect for us"

"Excellent location. Alot of young people felt like a hostel. Swimming pool small, not enough beds, literally 4. Room was clean, I think I was in a refurbished one. Door lock, wasn't great, didn't feel secure or safe to be honest. Both myself and friend had booked a room each as was pretty cheap. But wasn't put next door to one another. Stayed for 3nights, on the second night I was woken in the early hours by someone trying my door handle to get in. I could hear them walk along and try the next doors as well. Also tried mine again when passed on way back. The door only locks by pushing a button! They are a louvere type door, so not great for safety."

"I just stayed one night so I can’t tell too much but it was a good one for going to the airport at the next day early. If you also go at 6:30am in the morning and you just have a backpack, don’t book a taxi for 400 BAHT, there were taxi scooter who asked me to go to the airport for 50 BAHT which was amazing. Well the bed was more comfortable than I thought at the beginning, since I felt the metal in the material but I could sleep very well. Everyone I met was super friendly and going through the tops 2min away I was able to walk directly to the other side with being directly on the night market. I hadn’t have more time to explore the surrounding more but everyone I met was very friendly. I had a good experience but for me being a slow person without partying, I wouldn’t stay for very much longer. They also had nice activities every day what was nice too. Well good luck;)"

"This is honestly the best review I have ever written, because this place was truly the top stay of our entire 46-day trip. The blankets and towels were always spotless, the room was very clean, fresh-smelling, and well taken care of. Every day the staff changed our towels, made the bed, and did some light cleaning: the service was outstanding. The receptionist was amazing, always friendly and ready to help. We left a 400-watt deposit, and when it was time to check out, everything was returned smoothly, with no problems at all. The location is excellent: very close to the beach, near food stalls and evening hangout spots, yet slightly separated from all the noise. This makes it ideal for resting, very calm and quiet. We also had coffee and some cookies included every morning, a small touch that made our mornings really pleasant. Everything about our stay was perfect — absolutely recommended!"

"Excellent value for money!!! It simply exceeded our expectations :) The small cottages have large terraces (with lighting, chairs, a table, a portable extendable clothes dryer, and clotheslines for drying clothes, as well as two umbrellas). Everything inside is incredibly well thought out and comfortable: a closet with hangers, a table, a mirror, plenty of outlets, including one by the bed, nightstands, lamps, a refrigerator, a kettle, a hairdryer, air conditioning (but blows directly on the single bed), and a fan (it's comfortably cool). There are mosquito nets on the windows (no holes!!!) and curtains. The bathroom is stocked with shower gel, shampoo, toilet paper, and soap. They provide light cleaning every day (they bring bottled water, change towels, and take out the trash). The pool is excellent (small and shallow – perfect for a child, and also suitable for adults), and is illuminated in the evenings. There's also a restaurant (we didn't go, so I can't comment on it). The sea is just steps away (the best part of the beach!), sun loungers in the natural shade of the trees. Sleep peacefully, without any blaring music in your ears! The location is simply excellent – ​​several 7/11s nearby, a 5-minute walk to the riverside night market (with monitor lizards), 10-15 minutes to Lotus (the food court there also has very affordable and delicious food), a cafe nearby serving fresh seafood (shrimp, lobster, fish), and a French bakery is also a 12-minute walk away. Taxi drivers are constantly hanging out at the hotel exit, and songthaews also travel along this road – very convenient! Overall, we were delighted with Utopia!! 10 out of 10, definitely! You won't find anything better for this price!"
