"This graceful ryokan has been running a business for 150 years located in a sedated little town. Maybe it’s off season. I felt I was in the middle of nowhere worrying what to do with my time there. However Izumi San the host has been helping me above and beyond trying to make me feel welcome. She escorted me to and from the onsen each night punctually. She got all the information for me to rent a bicycle and get me the bus time table ready for me to travel to Hiroshima. Btw the bike ride was amazing and is a must do for islands hopping. Although we communicated mostly through Google translate and some of my broken Japanese. We have had some good laugh. Chaume did offer me couple of restful nights. "I stayed at the hotel with my family just one night, we did the Shimanami Kaido bicycle route. The hotel has lovely staff, it is clean and well located in Imabari. It is one block from Iamabari Sambashi bus station, and 10 to 15 min walking from Imabari central bus station. "
