"The best aspect of this stay was by far the owner. He was incredibly, incredibly helpful and friendly — from the moment I walked in the door he offered me a cup of tea, then provided tea and bread the next morning for breakfast, offered advice on what to see in the area, arranged a car to take me to Dalzong Lake, and finally even found me a spot on a local minibus going to my next destination. I couldn’t have done half the things I did during my stay in Xiahe without his advice and efforts on my behalf, so that alone made staying here fully worthwhile! It’s worth mentioning that the guesthouse’s architecture is also absolutely beautiful, and everything looks quite new. It’s located down a quiet side alley off of one of the main commercial streets in town, which seems like the ideal placement. On the accommodations: I stayed in one of the two tents erected on the second floor of the guesthouse. This was largely quite a good experience! The bed was very comfortable (with a heated pad), water and towels provided, etc. The tents are not in a closed-off area, but rather on the second floor/balcony area that also is used for sitting, serving tea, etc., so privacy is somewhat limited, but the whole guesthouse is relatively quiet anyway so it doesn’t feel like a public space. My only suggestions for improvement would be related to the bathroom: during my stay, the shared bathroom for the tents was a sort of temporary-style booth installed in the corner of the room with a toilet, sink, and showerhead. The bathroom was very clean and everything inside worked well, but its sliding door separated from the wall enough that there was always a substantial enough space on one side or the other that could be seen through (the door also didn’t lock and slid back and forth easily). The booth was also small enough that, realistically, I think it would be a bit of a challenge to actually use it to shower. If possible it might be worth looking into some simple fixes to improve these situations, but otherwise I have no complaints!"

"The location amd ambience are great. The room was cleand and made up daily. There were no bathroom glasses and it would be nice to have a video streaming service instead of only TV. Service suffers from a lack of spoken English, though that may change when the owner is back. With a little effort they can still arrange sightseeing and transport."

"Although the hotel is a bit far from the city center, we happened to encounter hail and heavy rain, and the B&B is located on high ground and was not flooded, so the location actually became a benefit of this stay. The bathroom is generally not good, but it is still okay for a simple one-night stay."

"We found this accommodation online, and the environment was excellent. As a family of five, our main goal was to find a spacious place, and the kids absolutely loved the flowers and trees! The bed in this room was huge, perfect for families with babies. The hostess was very nice and welcoming. We'll definitely choose this place again if we come back to Xiahe!"

They gave me a bike to cycle to the grasslands and did my washing for free! Also dropped me at the bus station. So kind and lovely. And the owner speaks perfect English."

"A clean and well-maintained accommodation in a beautiful Tibetan-style wooden house. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the private bathrooms have a shower and toilet. The hosts were welcoming and answered all our questions. The accommodation is in a quiet residential area. The monastery is a 10-minute walk from the property. There didn't seem to be any restaurants nearby, so we ate in town, but the hosts seemed to be able to recommend some options."

"The room was small and poorly soundproofed; you could hear your neighbors talking. The toilet seat had fallen off, and there was no hairdryer in the room, making it inconvenient to wash your hair. The only downside was the beautiful courtyard, where you could relax in the evenings. Definitely avoid the restaurant next door!"

"The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and has a wonderful ambiance. The proprietress has planted so many beautiful flowers, which are truly stunning. There's also a lovely terrace on the third floor, and the air up there is wonderfully fresh. Both the owner and his wife are incredibly warm and hospitable. For the price, it offers excellent value for money. We stayed for three days this time, and we'll absolutely choose to stay here again on our next visit!"

"This homestay is simply a treasure homestay. It seems that it didn't take long to open, so the room was quite new, and I missed it. The boss service is very good and also sent yogurt. It is very close to Labrang Temple, next to a small river, the location is quite good, and parking is available at the door."
