I stayed all together 5 days at Huang Garden Inn and absaloutly loved it.
Jack and other staff were always so helpful, they aloud me to leave my bags there whilst I trekked TLG.
The location is perfect! The amenities and cleanliness is immaculate. Jack speaks English and as busy as he always is, he was always helping me with bus information and tours. I was also able to do my laundry. There's also a quiet outside area to relax.
I really did not want to leave. Highly recommend for anybody to stay here.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a decent experience with a mix of pros and cons.
The room was exactly as shown in the pictures, and one unique feature was the bathtub in the living area. However, there was no view from our room as it faced another building, which was a bit disappointing. Despite that, the hotel’s location was great—easily accessible and within walking distance of Lijiang Ancient Town, making it convenient for exploring the area.
One thing to note is that the hotel has two large dogs in the lobby, which some guests might find friendly, but others may not be comfortable with. Communication was another challenge, as the staff did not speak English, so we had to rely on Google Translate for conversations.
Regarding amenities, the hotel does not provide regular towels, but they do offer disposable towels, which was fine for us. A big plus was the in-room washing machine, which was very useful for washing light clothes during our stay.
On our last day in Lijiang, we faced an issue booking a train ticket to Dali through Trip.com, as it showed no availability. Fortunately, the host, Michael, went above and beyond to help us find alternative transportation at a cheaper rate, which we really appreciated.
Overall, this hotel is a good choice for its location and amenities, but be prepared for language barriers and a lack of scenic views from some rooms.

I had a wonderful time staying here. The location is convenient and walkable to everything in the ancient town. The boss is super helpful and goes out of his way to make sure you have a good stay. The courtyard and roof are both lovely, with the roof featuring a view of the Jade Dragon Mountain. The building is charming and has the traditional architecture of the area. Recommend!

20/10 stay!! I cannot recommend this place more.
1. Location. It is on the brightly lit main street so no worries about safety! Easily walkable from the main entrance as well (7-8min). The place offers luggage pick up services as well, so don't need to lug to the place yourself.
2. Friendly and helpful staff. Honestly, the minsu boss is the best. She was helpful and friendly and took care of me as I am a solo traveller!!
Overall, room was clean and well decorated. The two doggos are absolutely adorable and friendly. The place was well lit. I really cannot recommend this place anymore. I will be coming back to this place the next time I come to Lijiang!

The view is amazing: we have a beautiful garden on the roof, facing the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, and,we provide a variety of free ethnic costumes and beautiful dresses for free . and we provide free fruit hot tea every night from 9-11pm,pls come up to our cafe and enjoy your leisure time!
The atmosphere is very good: The owner Linda is an English teacher, she holds an English corner Saturday evening to invite hotel guests and tourists and local English lovers to exchange culture, talk and make friends together! Welcome to our guest house and hope you have a wonderful time with us!

The guest house location is excellent, easy to go to Lijiang Ancient City, great view on the roof top to view Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The owner helped us to buy the ropeway ticket to go up to Jade Dragon, without the need to go through tour agent. His suggestion helped us to tour around Lijiang more efficiently. We decided to extend another night and canceled the booking in Baisha town. We truly enjoyed our stay here.

The homestay is close to the ancient city waterwheel, and it is super convenient to visit the ancient city. Entering the room, the mountain and wild quiet style design atmosphere is directly full, coarse ceramic ornaments, linen fabrics, every place is hidden ingenuity, literature and art are out. The most amazing thing is that you can have a panoramic view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain when you lie on the bed. The Rizhao Jinshan in the morning is even more beautiful than aphasia! The room facilities are smart and comfortable. Whether it is a trip or a photo check-in, this is a great choice. I will stay here next time I come to Lijiang!

Exceeded expectations, perfect in every aspect
First of all, in terms of location, it is right at the entrance of the ancient city, you can take a taxi directly, no need to drag your luggage on the stone road, the store owner will help you with your luggage
Environment: very pleasant, sitting in the small garden to chat, look at the flowers, look at the blue sky, not to mention how comfortable
The free flower cakes are much better than those sold in the ancient city outside, they are all freshly baked by the brothers and sisters in the store, it is so wonderful to drink Pu'er tea while eating flower cakes, and the most important thing is that they are free
The store owner helped me buy the Lijiang Eternal Love discount ticket, which is very good for viewing, worth recommending, plus points

The owner gave us flower biscuit when we arrived and we got an upgraded room with bathtub which is at second floor. However, we only staying there for one night and we need to leave in the early morning the next day, thus, we asked for room that does not require to climb stairs for our heavy luggages.
The owner was very accommodative and quickly arranged for us a room at the first floor.
Overall very satisfying with the strategic location as we can easily get taxi which is nearby to the hotel.

GGuest UserI browsed a lot of folk customs before coming to Lijiang, and was finally attracted by Jingdong 🐶🐶 and chose Orange House. The boss was very enthusiastic and personally picked up and dropped off. The room was clean and the courtyard was leisurely. I was very reluctant to part with Jingdong. I look forward to coming to Orange House next time, and I also look forward to meeting Jingdong again❤️

There were not only washing machines and detergents in the yard, but also dryers. The water dispenser in the room could adjust the water temperature, so you could drink hot water immediately. The children liked to play in the lobby. There was a building block table. The boss was patient and enthusiastic. We chatted while drinking coffee. GGuest UserThe B&B is in a community that has been converted into villas. When I go out to play, my main considerations are the bed and the shower. The shower has 24-hour hot water and the bath is very comfortable. The quilt was also warm and the bed was very comfortable. They also helped with luggage. The room was very clean, well-equipped and the environment was good. The little plum at the front desk was very welcoming. You don’t have to choose the service, just ask Xiao Lizi if you need anything! !

SSERI AMINAH BINTI RAUSMandy is very kind. Highly recommended to stay in this hotel. My luggage got damage during landed at kunming airport, and Mandy helped me purchased online, which arrived on that day. She also offered to make sandwiches, she was worried we would be heading to the snow mountain early in the morning without anything to eat and also provided useful information and even arranged transportation to our accommodation.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a charming hotel in Lijiang, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the breathtaking view of the great mountains visible from the rooftop terrace. The sight alone made me feel like I was stepping into a painting.
Upon checking in, I was warmly greeted by the hotel owner, who is Chinese and speaks excellent English. His hospitality and attentiveness immediately put me at ease, and throughout my stay, he went above and beyond to ensure I had everything I needed. From recommending local attractions to arranging transportation, he was always there to assist me.
The accommodations themselves were comfortable and well-appointed. My room was clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, providing a cozy retreat after a day of exploring. The hotel's attention to detail was evident in every aspect.
One of the highlights of my stay was undoubtedly the rooftop, the panoramic view of the mountains was truly mesmerizing. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the natural beauty of Lijiang.
In addition to the stellar accommodations, the hotel's location was also ideal. Situated in a quaint and charming neighborhood, it was within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and attractions. I appreciated being able to immerse myself in the local culture and explore the bustling streets of Lijiang.
Overall, my experience at this hotel exceeded all expectations. From the stunning views to the impeccable service, every aspect of my stay was truly exceptional. HHDTVA small homestay located in the heart of the old town. There are enough shops and restaurants nearby. It's about a 10 minute walk to both the north gate and the south gate. Keep in mind if you have heavy luggage you would need to drag it around the cobblestone streets because no vehicle can reach the place.
The service of the owner alone makes me rate this place 5/5 stars already. It didn't matter how many questions I asked, everytime he helped me out. If you are a solo traveller or don't speak any word of Mandarin then this is a great place to stay, the owner will make sure you don't get lost.
While the service was perfect and couldn't be any better there are some negative things worth mentioning.
First of all, the soundproofing is really bad. The room's door is full of holes and gaps so you can hear everything that is happening outside. Moreover, you better make sure you don't have any upstairs neighbours because you can hear everything what they do as well: moving around on the wooden floor, flushing the toilet, opening the tap, taking a shower.
Second, talking about showers, the shower in the room takes quite some time to heat up (similar to most hotels in China) but the more annoying part is that its impossible to get the right temperature for the shower: its either way too hot or cold.
Lastly, the curtains were full of disgusting stains and didn't block out all the light so I recommend just getting them replaced.
All in all, this place has some positives and some negatives. Decide for yourself if you want to stay here. In my opinion, despite the negatives, I would definitely stay here again and recommend you to do the same.

I would say that the mountains in Lijiang are continuous mountains. The 2,000 meters of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain are vast forests, vast grasslands, beautiful lakes, and scattered calves. 3000 meters up, there are spruce trees, yaks, and weeds. Looking down from the 4,508-meter cableway, strong and beautiful azaleas bloom, embellishing the barren mountains with color. The clouds are shrouded, the wind is howling, and the snow is sparse.
I would say it is the water of Lijiang, the stream flowing down from the Jade Dragon Thirteen Peaks, the blue-green lake lying on one side of the Blue Moon Valley, the noisy rushing of the Jinsha River, and the flowing water on the small bridges in the ancient city.
