We arrived and found our room wasn't the one we had booked. We went downstairs after going out for dinner and asked if we were in a Wellbeing Room. The receptionist said no, we had only booked deluxe. We were able to show her our booking.com booking which clearly stated Wellbeing Room. She said 'well you can move if you want' I said yes please, and specifically mentioned the mirror that was supposed to be in the room and how we were looking forward to it. We moved and the room had only one feature of the Wellbeing Room - an air filter. No ”the Mirror” or Wellbeing pack. There was also only one towel for 4 people. Upon questioning where the other things were we were told only Suites has mirrors and that the Wellbeing packs ”weren't ready yet” Why sell a product you can't deliver. Please amend your advertising material. The shelves in the room were broken, the drawers didn't close because the unit was so skewed. Even when we asked for more towels they gave us 2 for 4 people. The plug didn't work so we couldn't bath our children until they sent a new one the next day. The floor was filthy and we couldn't let the kids touch it, they had to play on the beds only. Some staff were brisk and cold but some were lovely. There is a club lounge on level 10 that is dirty with a fridge full of old food and drinks, maybe the staff use it? I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you get a good price and expect a 2 star hotel

So I'll start with the positives - spent 3 days 2 nights here. check in was great! we were early and we were accommodated immediately. Breakfast was delicious and fresh, Dinner and the bar were great as well. Room was mostly clean. Staff was super friendly. Right across from the mall which was great! Now the cons - this hotel is old!!!! ceiling tiles in the room were falling apart, the hair dryer was sticky and dirty. the common areas of the hotel looked run down and not as clean as the rooms. However, everyone was lovely, I would stay here again, the bed was comfy.

Fortunately, I have stayed in many Hampton hotels.

Past reviews had feedback about construction. It’s over, and the place is engineered for a relaxing place if you are visiting Rye for biz or family/pleasure. Rooms are clean and I loved that they had housekeeping done each day before 10:00 am. We are here to celebrate a new grandbaby and have made this our “nest”. The cafe is excellent (I assumed nasty motel breakfast and got a delish Gruyère burrito.). Decent wine and excellent little convo spaces with TVs ( Succession!) where we felt like this is a home away from home. The staff are aware this is a turnaround and anxious to please in the best way. Lovely people. Once the night nurse is done, and the guest room is open, we may not need to Courtyard but as our family grows in Rye I’m so happy to know this is an option! Good job, people who work here 👍

Super 8 in Stamford is no doubt an absolute hell hole. Crack den sex trafficking central. Unfortunately I made the reservation last night when I was exhausted from driving on a road trip home from Florida to Massachusetts. Got to the motel building 15 mins after making the reservation online, and I was immediately grossed out. Rats were in the parking lot right by the main entrance. When I got there and found out that they only had a smoking room available which I have asthma and did not want. The front desk manager goes “come on, you no smoke?!” And proceeded to give me a key to check out the room to see if I wanted it. I took the elevator to the 4th floor (which I thought was going to kill me by itself, it shook and definitely was not up to code) and it got to the 4th floor and the entire floor stunk to high hell. Think cigarette smoke, crack smoke, old Indian food, and human/animal feces put together. This is where it got super interesting. One guy was walking around completely nude from the waist down up and down the hall pacing paranoid talking to himself and holding a pipe, another one opened his door and just stared at me like a serial killer as I walked by, and two young girls in the end of hallway were sitting there just trying to find different veins on each other to shoot up drugs. I was with my husband and my 10 year old son and his friend, absolutely no way would I ever allow them to see that environment. I went back downstairs using the stairs this time, and told the front desk guy what I saw and endured and he didn’t care whatsoever his answer was “I have to still charge you $200+ tax for the room”. I reminded him that I only made the reservation 15 mins ago and he refused to let me out of it even though it was literally dangerous there. I told him he was a bad person. I will tell everybody what I went through in hopes they never give that hotel any business. I needed a shower from just being in that building.

+Lobby staff & management were very friendly, efficient, and negotiable with our extended stay. Always quick to address any concerns or questions. +Cleaning staff came daily unless asked otherwise, keep rooms very clean and tidy. +Close to downtown area - around five minutes driving, around 15 minutes walking - with lots of parking space available. +Free breakfast in the morning! +Good, strong WiFi connection available - very briefly lost Internet once in two weeks. +Dog-friendly with reasonable rates! Hotel, as a whole, seemed dated as others have said. My partner and I made many a joke to it looking like The Shining. We didn't mind, but something to note. The free breakfast had a limited selection. Don't expect full buffets, just something to get you through the morning 'til lunch. We didn't get the chance to use the facilities (laundry, gym), but they were offered. -The beds were hard and were uncomfortable to us. We needed to purchase a foam mattress to make sleep more bearable, as our hips and backs started to hurt after the first two nights. -The elevators broke down more than a few times during our stay. Thankfully they worked on check-out day, otherwise we would have been in trouble! OVERALL: For the price and location, we were very happy with our stay! Love the staff, attentiveness and consistency. Just wished they had better beds and less temperamental elevators. Even with the dated appearance, if you need a place to stay, this place does the job for a price that won't burn your wallet. We recommend!

My family and I stayed at Cambria Hotels for a couple days. Each room was neat and super clean. It’s very noticeable their staff cares about their work and what they put out. Housekeeping personnel were extremely kind and hospitable which made our stay so much more enjoyable and relaxing. Other staff members were very professional and welcoming and the rooms were very organized so I can confidently say I’d be staying here again ! Josh E. Burke

Came to Sonesta to rest the night after having a terrible day and my day immediately became better off of two interactions with the staff. Danaya and a bartender who I saw from 6-7pm. I was on line ready to check in with a down look on my face since I wasn’t able to return home after working a double at the hospital. As I go up to check in I’m greeted with this amazing energy, positive attitude, vibe and aura that can immediately make you smile after just a couple of sentences. This person is Danaya. She made my day so much better after just a small conversation. I did come back down later to drop my girlfriend off to her car and again me and her both were greeted with the same energy that I had received a couple of hours earlier. I do believe that every job and every place deserves someone like Danaya! The amount of joy I received after checking in truly made my night so much better and I wish her all the best! I wish I had asked for the bartender’s name who made me a Caribbean rum punch! I sat down after speaking with Danaya who told me about happy hour, and ask the bartender for his favorite drink since I had just turned 21 a week/ 2 weeks ago. He immediately went to work on the first drink I’ve had out of the many I’ve had in this short time that I enjoyed. I’m not big on Alcohol since I’m just now exploring it but the one he had made for me was amazing. With his cheerful attitude and quickness of the drink I was definitely grateful for him being there! Wish him all the best also! The room was amazing and something not many people realize is how important it is to have such good water while showering. I feel like it’s always overlooked but my shower was fantastic here. The king sized bed I had was like sleeping and a cloud and the channels they had were great to watch. Tv was amazing and everything was clean. The window has an amazing view! This hotel is amazing. From the rooms, to the guest and to the staff that do their best to provide nothing but the best service you can receive. Any hotel can offer a bed to sleep on and a happy hour but none do it better than Sonesta! Thank you to all who work there and I wish you the best in life. And another personal thanks to Danaya, the bartender who served me, and to whoever cleaned my room before and after my stay! I wish nothing but great things for you guys!
