Our stay at the Gallini Sea View Hotel in Crete was average. The location with the beautiful sea view was definitely a plus, and the staff was friendly. The rooms and food were OK, but nothing special. There were no major flaws or special highlights. Overall, a solid stay that was neither particularly bad nor outstanding.

The hotel itself looks nice and the surrounding was clean and we felt good there. Some of the staff were nice people, especially the lady driving the golf cart, but some show overwork. Towels were changed and bins were taken out every day (not counting the two days when cleaners dont visited our room at all). When we left some little tips in the room for the cleaners, the floor was also mopped and bed linen changed. Toilet paper was not replenished for two days after it became clear that there would be no more next day and soap in the bathroom ran out two days before the end of the stay and was not replenished anymore. The biggest disappointment for me was the hotel restaurant: -absence of tasty fishes, monotonous offer. The desserts were delicious though. I love their Baklava. But the biggest problem was the insufficiently air-conditioned restaurant space and very chaotic service, when sometimes you had to ask the staff for water and cutlery, otherwise no one would notice. I rate the bars, both directly at the hotel and on the beach, as well-functioning with a sufficient supply of food and drink. Before arrival I expected more from this hotel, but at the end we enjoyed our vacation thanks to the surroundings and the trips we took.

I am still currently here on holiday. After reading some poor reviews I had to write one myself. We are staying in room 5126. It is a lovely modern room. We asked for a high room with views, before arriving and this is exactly what we got. The room is cleaned daily by a friendly cleaner. All the staff have been so friendly and serve food/drinks with a smile every time. The pool area always has beds available, as towels are not allowed to save sun beds until after 8am. The restaraunt is really nice with a wide selection in the buffet and lovely omelettes made to order on a morning. We have also been down to the beach area. 2 sun beds with a parasol for 10euro. Bargain. The beach bar there has lovely snacks and drinks again served by friendly staff. We had a meal in the Italian restaurant last night, which was amazing and had lovely views over the town. Normally I wouldn’t write a review whilst staying at a property, however I must stick up for this hotel as we are having an amazing stay. All I can think is there are some rooms that do need renovating, but I would assume you could ask for a renovated room before you arrive. Yes there is a big hill to access the hotel. This is understandable giving that the hotel has amazing views. We have never walked up or down the hill as golf carts are laid on by the hotel to transport guests up and down the hill by friendly drivers. They arrive every few minutes, so there is never a long wait. I would recommend room 5126 for its modern look and amazing views of the sea and mountains. I would recommend this hotel to anybody, we are having an amazing stay!

If you dream of a holiday you’ll remember for a long time (unfortunately, not in a good way) – Hotel Galini by Sea View is the perfect choice. The pool railings seem to be held together purely by gravity, so adrenaline is included in the package – forget bungee jumping, here thrills await you at every step. Food? Well… anyone who claims it’s good must be used to eating in some sort of alternative way on a daily basis, because your taste buds give up after the first bite. The choice of dishes is so “rich” that you’ll quickly memorize the entire repertoire – not because it’s impressive, but because whatever didn’t get eaten yesterday will be served again today in its second life. Bread doubling as a sharpening stone – free of charge. Juices? Freshly squeezed can only be found on Instagram photos – here you’ll be served a liquid with the consistency of water and the taste of absolutely nothing. But don’t worry – they’ve got knock-off cola and an “all inclusive” package where, until 11 pm, you can enjoy the cheapest alcohol straight from a Greek discount store. Fancy a mojito? That’ll be €12 – after all, someone has to cover the cost of real rum. Room standards? It’s a lottery. You might get a shower with no water, a hairdryer that belongs in a museum, and a ceiling decorated with mold. The beds are so comfortable that after a week of sleeping there, I recommend booking an appointment with a physiotherapist – preferably in advance. An extra treat is the lovely scent wafting from the bathroom drains – Greek vibes in hardcore edition. the cleaners only exchange towels and that's it - for full week no one event swept the floor The dining hall deserves its own chapter: plates sometimes carry traces of previous guests – a unique “history of Greece” engraved on porcelain. If you like surprises, you’ll find plenty here. And the glowing reviews from “delighted tourists”? Mostly Poles who, after 24 hours of bingeing on cheap drinks, don’t notice the dirt or taste the pseudo-food – because at that point even cardboard toast tastes like a delicacy. in summary: if you want to pay for a hotel and… eat out in town, then I highly recommend it. The perfect place to discover that your own balcony at home has more charm than the “sea view” at Galini.

Well, all I can really say in my review, is that it is basically a collection of nearly every bad review on here and on Google. And my review on Google was refused by I guess, the hotel. Now after reading more reviews on here, the hotel is allegedly under some form of liquidation of some sort, and the quality in the hotel shows. Any promotional content by the hotel is not what you receive. Trust the pictures that the bad reviews show. Yes there are some good reviews, but I think those experiences are few and far between. In my opinion, which I am allowed by the way, to the management of this hotel. My wife and I paid a fortune so my opinion of this hotel is valid through the experience I received, is that this hotel is 3* at best with an all inclusive-ish option. The beach beds are an extra €10 per use, and apparently, ‘proper’ cocktails like mojitos are extra. Our room wasn’t cleaned every day. Our bathroom wasn’t replenished unless we asked for. And by UK hotel standards, you do not get silver service at dinner. By my standards, silver service is looking through menu, ordering food, and then being waited on by the staff with both food and drink. You get a little bit of this service at the so called ‘Italian Restaurant’ which is nothing specialised. Otherwise, in the main hall, it’s an all you can eat, self service buffet. Now I had no real issue with this. I like to eat salad every day with meat. But this is advertised as a 5*, not self service. Some food was dry, others were nice. But I can understand people being very disappointed. The pool areas are cramped and crowded, some areas are in need of refurb or complete repair, and a lot of the staff are generally not up to standard or, they just don’t care. I had a similar experience of the manager that others have had. Just look at his responses to other unsatisfactory stays and you will get my gist. No real care or understanding that the hotel service is poor. Cleaning rooms to a basic standard is every hotels bread and butter. I was given lame excuses as to why our room wasn’t cleaned which didn’t fly with me. We were sent a staff member to clean our room late in the afternoon when we had gotten back from an excursion, to find our room still filthy. I called reception to send a manager down to witness the room and we got a cleaner! I sent him away as I didn’t want to stand there and wait whilst he cleaned a room that should have been cleaned! When I spoke to the manager about finding our room dirty again the next day, he said that I sent the cleaner away and didn’t want our room cleaned for the rest of the holiday! I said no, I was tired, as was my wife and we didn’t want to stand there whilst he cleaned it. And why would we complain about a dirty room, to then state we didn’t want our room cleaned from here on?! I called him out on it and he reluctantly agreed. Now he did leave my wife and I a nice gesture, but for every other guest that didn’t get that, well it just isn’t correct. Fur

Avoid! Not 5* hotel . Everything is cheap , dirty, low quality and boring food , pool bar food was just raw and horrible. horrible rooms and uncomfortable beds. Place where on all inclusive you only get the cheapest alcohol and if u want mohito you need pay extra 12€ . Here even coca- cola is fake 🤣 and yes you can forget about fresh orange juice in the morning. Cleaners doesn’t border to clean the rooms all what they doing is exchange towels. And forget about good internet connection...The worse place I have ever been

Just 150 m from a long sandy beach, with easy shuttle to the door. Free parking and excellent Wi‑Fi made our stay easy. Close enough to Chania Old Town, yet peaceful in the resort. A perfect base for exploring and relaxing.
