Rainbow Apartments

The Rainbow apartments are my most favourite place to stay in the world and we are lucky enough to travel often. My family and I return year after year we always receive a wonderful welcome from Maria and her team and we always have the very best holiday. The rooms are spotlessly clean and the pool and gardens are looked after beautifully. I would always recommend the Rainbow apartments and am looking forward to returning again in July if not before!

Super friendly, very well maintained. Hitch with hot water sorted next day and owner came to update and apologised. Perfect. Pool area sunny for majority of day but shade also provided. So many folk there go every year or even twice. Launderette at bottom of driveway if travelling light, Breakfast amaxing and Florian great host friendly attentive and made special breakfast for my birthday. Evening bar man also made evening special. Beach very close, clean and fab Would recommend and stay again.

Do not go here. What they offer on their website is untrue, there is no full kitchen, no spa, no BBq facilities, no air con (unless you pay separate $15 a nigh, no towels, unless you pay separate, no safety box (unless you pay separate). The kitchen has nothing for you to cook or clean..Just an old pan and some dirty cutlery. There was a electric fault in our apartment, twice in one hour, the last one burnt my daughter's hand. The manager told us we were lying, she said we could not move rooms and they will not offer a refund, that there was nothing she could do. The place is full of drunks at the bar making noise, its on a super busy street so there is no peace and quietness... Do not go here, the worst and only bad experience in Greece and Crete after two months of travelling around. DO NOT GO HERE!

Overall, an amazing place to stay with a great atmosphere. Although we went in the off season so not a lot was open, the bar and staff at the apartments more than made up for it. The places that were open had great hospitality and we felt very welcomed. The room was clean, great space and cooking facilities. There was nothing we would have changed.

Had to leave previous hotel after 1 night in hersonnissos as it was a real disappointment and by luck the Rainbow apartments had one superior apartment left on *********** so jumped at the chance to come to our favourite place to stay as it is really difficult to get into the Rainbows normally. This complex is just the best. Perfect owner and team, perfect accommodation, perfect pool and pool bar and perfect location. Can't wait to come back.

Returned for the fith time to Rainbow and once again can’t fault it! The staff are amazing Florin at the bar is just a legend, the kids love him and find him hilarious. He can’t do enough for you and treats you like a friend. The new chef Natasha does amazing food at great prices. Dave (Shorty) at the bar is such a lovely guy and also did tricks for the kids.Eleni at reception is a sweetheart. And Maria who manages the apartments is always around during the day if you need her, always polite and helpful too. Five minute walk to the beach through an underpass ( you can go across the road but be careful!) Place is spotless the cleaners are great. Pool never seems busy, and Florin will move beds around to help you out so just go and ask. The town is great! Never seems too busy and everyone is helpful and friendly. It’s never rowdy and has something for everyone. From British/Irish style pubs to traditional style tavernas and even new trendy bars Beer €2.50 to €5 a pint on the ***** Cocktails €4.50 is the cheapest we found Meal for four including drinks and starters €80-90 Dimos is the cheapest bar by far! And includes snacks with each round!! And free shots just before you leave. Never had a bad meal anywhere. Buses easy to use and so cheap €1.60 into malia or hersonissos!! Go to Avli in Malia and thank me later , looks expensive but it’s not at all!! You will be gobsmacked! Silvertree a little jewellery shop in the Stalis ***** is run by a lovely couple. Never pushy and so sweet, please give them a try and say Magic John sent you and they will sort you out! Lol Enjoy your stay you won’t go wrong at this little gem!!

Another fantastic stay at Rainbow. We decided to treat ourselves to the luxury one bedroom apartment and couldn’t fault it. The only problem we had is that our 15 year old son now expects a hot tub on every holiday! 😜 The hotel bar is a must to end the night, David is brilliant. We’ll see you again in October.

Just returned after 2 weeks in the Rainbow Apartments. We loved it! Our superior apartment was large with 2 balconies, one with a sea view and one with a pool view. Cleaners came in every other day with clean towels, beds changed every 4 days. They did a grand job. My ONLY gripe (and its a small one) is that there were no drawers in the room for underwear, swimwear etc and only 10 coathangers between 3 of us but we managed! Pool area was lovely, we arrived mid july and never had a problem getting a sunbed. Great little snackbar, Florin was always on hand to take your orders etc and the lady in the kitchen made lovely food. Beach is less than a 5 minute walk away. Great prices for sunbeds-we were €10 for 3 beds and a brolly. We sunbathed opposite a bar called Dimo's. We used their sunbeds and ate in their snackbar most days. Couldnt fault the hospitality there! All in all a great holiday and will definitely return 😃.
