Eurohotel Katrin Hotel & Bungalows

I had a lovely stay. Travelled for some very last minute sunshine as a solo trip. Staff welcoming and friendly. Nice pool area, no needed to reserve sun loungers, they were available all day. Not too busy when I went. Food was ok, not the best but what can you expect with such reasonable price!

Arrived on the Friday Night, greeted by lovely receptionists who told us to go for dinner before we miss it then check in after. The room was a family room (4002), outdated but clean and well maintained although cleaners had missed us the first night and then forgot to provide towels for 5 of us a few nights later.. (Be aware that there are screws sticking out the tiled floor as door stoppers) which isn’t kid friendly. The buffet food is basic at best, basically get the exact same everyday cold / Luke warm, so if you’re there for a week or so, be prepared to get bored of food quickly! The restaurant is not air conditioned so is so warm and sweaty while eating. If it’s been raining, they close the outside part which makes it very busy to find seating inside. The “all inclusive” drinks are absolutely rank and taste soo watered down they are pretty much undrinkable! Ended up going to the supermarket or the town which is 5 mins walk across the road to have a few drinks! KIDS ACTIVITIES: On a couple of days the weather wasn’t great, which meant we couldn’t be by the the Pools (which are not heated and are FREEZING) Therefore we went to see what activity’s there were to do… 2 x Snooker tables - Out of order Jewellery making - We were told staff were too busy to do this even though it was scheduled.. Saturday night quiz night - Cancelled Sunday night show time - Cancelled Monday morning kids bowling - Cancelled (Cancelled even though families turned up for them, no information given out prior at all) When we had enough of our children being let down, we went to reception to ask what was going on, we spoke to the manager who then called the girl that does the animation into reception, (the guy who does the animation sheepishly hid round the corner like a wimp although the manager saw him walk past) She very quickly got on the defence and became very rude and of course denied everything when asked why it was all cancelled etc and made us out to be liars claiming they carried out the activities by the pool…. when we were sat by the pool from 9am - 5pm everyday …. NOT ONE ACTIVITY WAS CARRIED OUT until we complained. After that they started to do them, but there is no pre warnings or shout outs around the pool to let anyone know, they just sit there in the playground which is hidden by fences and wait for people to come to them! The couple of nights they did a “disco” by the pool if you can even call it that! It’s literally the worst animation (show group) I have ever seen, the girl danced to the same songs both nights and ended with musical chairs!!! Honestly, it’s so shocking to even watch it, both the woman and the guy clearly do not want to be there, soon as they finish the last song, they quickly shut up the bar and left as if they had another job to get to! KIDS PLAYGROUND: Absolute Death trap!! No swings were attached, see-saw not fitted into the ground, electric cables in reach of kids, absolute disgrace of a “play park” The “

Iam a bit confused at all the excellent reviews for this hotel! The plus points, the staff are lovely, the hotel is in a great location, 5 mins walk from Stalis. The pool areas and outside areas are lovely and very clean. Now the bad points, the food, while a lot of variety was always cold or luke warm. Even when seeing staff come out with a fresh tray which you would expect to be hot, it wasn't. The salads were lovely though and nice desserts. The white wine on the all inclusive menu was undrinkable. Prosseco was not included in the all inclusive, however you could buy it at 23 euros a bottle! The first all inclusive hotel I have been to where Prosseco is not included! There is a supermarket just round the corner though. Not much nightly entertainment so if you wanted a game of pool you could, for 2 euros! We had a bungalow number 4000. It was not like the pictures on jet2! It was dated and the kitchen and lounge were dirty. Dirty cups and cupboards, coffee stains on the table. Dirty drawers in the bedroom. We had had an horrendous long, journey so didn't arrive till late and so didn't have the energy to go back to reception and complain, we just wiped down the kitchen and washed the cups so we could make coffee then told the cleaners next morning. They did give it a good clean but it really needs a deep clean, fridge seals, sofa and chair cushions. We had a hot tub but only used it once as we were concerned about health and safety as we never saw anyone come to clean and test it, which should be done every day. I hate leaving bad reviews but feel it's fair to warn other people. Maybe we were just in a part of the hotel that hadn't been refurbished but it should have been clean. Should also be more choice in the all inclusive drinks. Also couldn't find any snacks in the evening which is unusual for an all inclusive hotel.

We stayed here for a week and had a bungalow with a plunge pool excellent room and cleaned every day apart from Saturday nice touch with a few items in fridge for day of arrival the only thing that I can complain about is the plunge pool wasn't cleaned at all and I would of liked the bar to include peach snapps as an all inclusive package but other than that the reception staff are amazing but all the staff are really happy and helpful will definitely consider staying here again in the future 😄
