This review is about Terrasse Cremant, not the hotel. We felt going back 40 years in time, the time that eating vegetarian/pescetarian was new. But now it is 2024 and things have changed. But not at this restaurant on the backside of Hotel Ecluse. Very limited options for vegetarian/pescetarian. But we choose 2 starters and 2 mains. After a small amuse (avocado and a whole tomato, nothing done with the tomato) and bread we got the starters. Salade scampi was ok, just the sauce was so strong in garlic that it is not wise to eat it. The tiramisu avocat with ecrevisses was also ok, except that one of the chefs thought it was a good idea to put sweetened whipped cream on top. Look great on a picture but it is a disaster in taste. Then we ordered cabillaud, on the menu it said with chorizo. So we asked to leave that out. Turned out that the sauce was pre-made with chorizo so the chefs decided to serve the dish without any sauce! And put two slices of chorizo next to the fish. The worst was the vegetarian main dish. Straight from a frozen bag from Lidl or something, very bland and boring. No taste at all, overcooked. There were potato wedges as well, so salty that it heard my tastebuds the whole evening. And some crispy thin potato stuff, which was burned and therefor bitter and uneatable. Luckely the wine was good and service very friendly! We had to pay in full despite our complaint at the end of service. We appreciate any hard working chef but please get some inspiration at one of the many vegan/vegetarian/pescetarian restaurants around Europe and improve!

Very good meal, simple and hearty. Friendly staff. The setting is relaxing with a view of the Moselle. For sure, we will return there because the menu is very interesting, the wine on the other hand is a little expensive, but we are in Luxembourg. What more can I say, the potato pancakes are very good and I think the fries are homemade. Small downside, the seasoning of the salad needs to be reviewed but really nothing serious, everything can be improved.

Nice room where a basket was ready for our dog. Delicious breakfast and also a delicious meal in the evening. Small but very relaxed wellness. Too bad the restaurant was not open on Sunday evening. Rooms at the back are very fusty and overlook the wine fireplace. Rooms at the front are a bit bothered by the trucks driving past.

The hotel is in a refined style but unfortunately it does not have the expected standard. We book a deluxe room and have a standard room. There is no air conditioning. The beds have sheets with holes and are not made. There is a lack of cushions and the bedding is very uncomfortable. Fortunately the region is very pleasant and allows for great visits.

Very nice hotel at an unbeatable price in Luxembourg Reception: 7/10, not very cheerful but correct Cleanliness 10/10 Environment 8/10 Magnificent small swimming pool and a few saunas available. The fitness center is very small and has nothing for bodybuilding. Quiet 7/10 Restaurant: not tested Room 10/10 Spacious with air conditioning and fan. Superb terrace. Comfort 3/10 the quality of the beds is terrible. Unfortunately, they are much too hard!

The Restaurant at the Hôtel de l'Ecluse is excellent, as is the service...on the occasion of a birthday celebrated on Sunday, October 30, 2022. During a stay on another occasion at the hotel , my wife and I stayed in a Junior Suite. We appreciated the comfort, cleanliness and incomparable calm of the rooms in question which overlook the rear of the hotel and the beautiful garden. We will surely return there with great pleasure.

Good reception but kitchen not at all up to standard. My husband ordered a veal cordon bleu with mushroom cream and I ordered a Moselle fry. My husband found a piece of plastic on his plate with what looked like a piece of gauze he stopped eating disgusted the waitress removed the plate before we could take a photo my fried food was so cooked none piece of flesh on the bones for the fish were big really charred
