Staff extremely friendly and accommodating. Excellent breakfast. Large, spacious and very clean rooms. Excellent price for the top location right in the old town. Parking directly at the hotel is a bit more difficult, but there are enough free parking spaces in the immediate vicinity, a 5-10 minute walk away, where you can save the extortionate price of over €10 for a parking space in the hotel's underground car park.
All in all, I had a nice stay, but unfortunately the internet is extremely slow and almost unusable (especially with large amounts of data). A minibar in the rooms would be ideal.
Overall, 4/5 stars for me, mainly because of the WiFi, which is unfortunately far too slow for today's times. I hope that they will upgrade this soon so that we don't lose touch with other hotels.

We were a couple looking for a centrally located hotel for a short break in Stade. After a long search and comparisons on the Internet, we chose the Hotel Widukind.
We were not disappointed and some of our expectations were even exceeded. The hotel is located in the center and everything worth seeing is within walking distance. There is also an underground car park at a moderate price. There is no long-term parking in the city center, with the exception of parking garages a little further away. Restaurants are numerous in the area and offer something for every taste and budget. The hotel breakfast is rich and of good quality.
The hotel rooms are clean, spacious and recently renovated.
Finally, it should be mentioned that bicycles can also be safely parked in the underground car park.
We would be happy to recommend the hotel and would choose it again.

Nice room and super good beds. Even the pillow was good, which it rarely is in hotels. The rooms were lovely sound proof. Nothing to put your finger on. In fact, just top notch, and can definitely be recommended.

Nice hotel direct in the center of the Stade, with very good service and room equipments. Breakfast selection is also very good, staff very friendly and rooms are absolutely clean and modern.Only small mentioning about the windows isolation quality..if you are situated to the street, where cars are riding on the cats heads, it is quite noisy...but it didn't woke me up during the night..

The Widukind provides a friendly atmosphere in a quiet location in the old town of Stade. It is close to the beautiful old churches, houses as well as restaurants and cafes. I have been staying in the hotel for short 3-5 day breaks on a regular basis for several years.
