Stayed here for two nights while we were visiting a friend for their wedding in Saint Augustine. Logistically, this hotel is great as it's just off I-95 so if you are passing through for the night, it's perfect. It's only about 10 minutes from central/downtown Saint Augustine as well. Parking available on site and free. Pool available, not heated but balmy. Restaurant on-site serves breakfast and dinner - standard food options for Courtyard and hours. Pricing very reasonable. Staff were welcoming and attentive. All that said, the hotel only gets three stars, as the ceiling of our room on the second floor showed clear signs of mold in the entry area. Moreover, one could see what looked like pockets of mold growing in the ceiling above the bed. This is inexcusable in all regards. The hotel is undergoing a gut renovation, starting on the third floor and then they will do the second floor, etc...

The hotel was being remodeled, which we saw when we booked the room. However, that description didn’t entail how bad this situation would be. Upon arrival, when given our room key on the ground floor, we requested an upstairs room but were told the elevator was out of order. Instead we were given a ground floor room that smelled ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! The dusty, musty smell actually gave my husband a terrible headache! I went back to the desk at that point to ask when the elevator would be fixed. When told it would be the next day, I requested to be moved at that time. After being “questioned” the next morning by another front desk staff member, we were finally moved to a room on the 2nd floor. The room was satisfactory. But after finally getting settled, sitting watching TV, the video went out on the TV! After a couple of minutes the audio went out! We called from our cell phone down to the front desk (room phones were out & didn’t work either!), to ask for someone to come up & check. The staff member who came up (very nice, professional young man) tried everything including bringing another TV (from a room being remodeled) which didn’t work either, then changing the box on the back of the TV, all to no avail. This took close to 2 hours! We then had to gather ALL of our belongings, repack EVERYTHING to move AGAIN TO ANOTHER ROOM! The room again was satisfactory, except we didn’t have the option of taking a shower but tub bath only because the drain stopper was broken in the tub & wouldn’t come up. We were so frustrated by that time that we didn’t even report it but just endured! Both my husband and I are senior citizens in our early 70’s, just trying to ENJOY some much needed vacation time! Needless to say as Marriott members we were VERY, VERY disappointed with this visit to this hotel!! Understanding they are under renovation but for us, that means the underlying services were not good at all! Very disappointing!

The man behind the desk at check-in was rude. The room was hot (AC not working) and not clean (hairs and spots on the sheets, dark stains in tub). I called to ask the front desk clerk if we could switch rooms bc the AC wasn’t working. He tersely told me the hotel was sold out and the best thing was to “turn the AC up” bc it was probably frozen. I waited an hour and it never got cooler. My husband arrived (he was traveling separately) and he immediately went down to the front desk to ask why the room was so hot. The clerk then immediately switched us to a different room! I reminded him how he had just told me an hour earlier there were no rooms available. He didn’t acknowledge me and just handed the new keys to my husband. Not sure why the appearance of my husband was enough to warrant a room switch. Rude. The second room was cleaner and actually had working AC.

Place was quiet and clean. Just about 10-15 mins away from the historical St Augustine. It was in expensive compared to others in the area. Well worth it and you won’t regret it. Has a bar and plenty of seating area. Will return again in the future

One of the worst Marriott experiences I’ve had in a long time mainly for housekeeping and cleaning issues. When we arrived we found food in the fridge and old soap in the shower so off to a bad start. On day 2 we left at 9am to visit friends and when we arrived back at 5 our room had not been refreshed. I was told the do not disturb was on the door but of course we had taken it off before we left, so unless it was a lie housekeeping came before 9am. Either way that’s just unacceptable. The pool was dirty and the hot tub wasn’t working so strike 3 on this property. One last issue was the lack of prices in the market place.

Everything was very nice. The room was spotless, and up to date. We ate at the bistro, and we're pleasantly surprised by the variety and quality of the food. I must say it was a bit pricey, but convenient. Didn't have drive around to find a restaurant, so it was worth it to me. The only complaint I really have was a discrepancy in the cost of the stay. My email confirmation stated the total cost for the stay was $167.37, including taxes. The total I was billed on my card was $198.08. Unfortunately, I did not look at the bill on the departure morning. By the time I found the discrepancy, a month later, I figured I was out of luck. Next time I will definitely check my quote vs. the actual receipt.

I read all the reviews and most people had positive things to say and that is why we chose it, but that was not our experience. Pros: - friendly front desk staff - free parking Cons: - room was dirty. It seemed that the room had not been cleaned after the last guest. We had to clean the room ourselves before being able to stay. The room didn’t have old caked on dirt, but was not cleaned before we checked led in. There were crumbs on the fridge, finger prints on the mirrors, a hair on the sink, and poop splatter on the toilet. I didn’t trust the sheets to be cleaned so we requested two sets and remade the beds ourselves. We will definitely not be staying there again. As a frequent traveler and Bonvoy meme ver, I was disappointed.

Not up to Marriott standards, but ok in a pinch. We stopped for an overnighter. The hotel itself has a good size parking lot (can fit trailers), it's well lit and felt very safe. The design of the hotel is well thought out and modern. The beds and linens were very comfortable. Breakfast was good but a little costly at $13.50 USD for a standard 2 egg breakfast. CONS: housekeeping is well below standards. I question how long (if ever) the room had been vacuumed. We found small yellow balls around the bed (which I want to believe is Styrofoam). There were hairs and dust all over. Both chargers by the bed were broken. Overall, comfortable beds, quiet and no bugs was what we needed. But I expect more than that from Marriott. We'd stay there again if we had to on a quick pass through but wouldn't be our first choice
