Our room was Kingsbarn, a suite equiped with coffee machine and tea. Complimentary biscuits and all the snacks were really good. The room had a hair dryer and an iron for clothing. Excellent windows for ventilation. Housekeeping was on point every time. Arrival and experience: Claudia received us and she was just so helpful and genuine with us that we felt at ease immediately upon arriving to the property. She even advocate for our dinner being incredibly late via Just Eat that first night. Claudia, we cannot thank you enough but I will try: thank you so so much. The next day we found Lucy at the front desk and I don't have many words to describe how wonderful, empathetic and resourceful that woman is. Lucy, you went above and beyond to make our stay and my best friend's wedding preparations go smoothly. Attention to details and very prompt actions were always taken to ensure our comfort and ease. This was the perfect place for my partner and I to start our first vacation in Scotland and I will come back. Breakfast: an absolute delight. The menu, presentation and timing were extraordinary. We were always so pleasantly full from breakfast that often we did skip lunch. That's how hearty every single plate was. Spa: I was unfortunately unable to use it since we had a packed schedule for St. Andrews because of the wedding.

We were a party of 4 celebrating a special birthday and were looking forward to our stay at Kinnettles. What a disappointing, expensive 3 nights. With NO prior notice there was NO Spa, Fitness Centre, Bar and the restaurant only served Breakfast. We had to bring the coffee machine from our bedroom to the breakfast room as the machine wasn't working....poor choice of continental breakfast items and service finished at 9.15, even at the weekend. Staff have no or very little knowledge about food allergies, very dangerous. The housemaids were eating their lunch on the landing outside our bedrooms surrounded by dirty laundry.....shocking ..... Do not stay at this hotel, owner Fraser Ogston should be ashamed and embarrassed of this so called 5 Star Boutique Hotel in the centre of St Andrews. We have tried to contact the hotel in pursuit of compensation but the staff hang up ......worst hotel I've EVER stayed in.

2 Star Hotel at best. We booked the hotel as a treat for my 50th… just under £1800 for 2 nights. Our 3 kids were in a room in the main hotel which was fine, my wife and I were put in the annex building across the road! Staff had no interest in putting us close to each other, just told us those were the rooms we booked. The annex room was on the ground floor - it was extremely noisy with drunk people passing by all night. The room wasn’t particularly clean, paint was peeling off the wall and the shower was missing a hose. The hotel was a massive disappointment that took the shine off what was meant to be a special weekend. Despite emailing management a couple of times, no one has bothered to respond.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff’s attentiveness is outstanding. Felt very welcome and the staff went above and beyond to help me surprise my other half for his 30th golf themed birthday weekend! The only downside is that the bed was slightly lumpy and uncomfortable.

Short two night stay at this hotel in the centre of the town. Fabulous location and we had an excellent stay. The staff were extremely helpful and our room (Eden) was large and with a great bathroom. We also used the Spa which is small but more than adequate as you can book dedicated sessions and the spa treatments were excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

The stay at the Kinnettles Hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The staff is incredibly warm, welcoming AND smart!! Such a wonderful experience. The room itself was excellent. Modern yet comfy. New and high end. The location is terrific, close to the Old Course, the Sea and the town center. Highly recommend the hotel.

Lovely hotel in central location. Room and bathroom were excellent and had every amenity required. there was no bar / restaurant open which was a shame but understand this may soon change. Breakfast for our 3 days was freshly cooked (whatever we wanted) and the fresh fruit was lovely. Only point I would add is that it would help if separate hot water was provided for tea rather than having to use the coffee machine. Staff friendly and helpful - thank you for a lovely stay.

Having booked I saw some 1 star reviews for visits made recently. I was a bit worried regarding this. I couldn’t have been more wrong, check in went smoothly and the girl at the desk was friendly and very knowledgeable. We were staying in the annex which is over the road from the main building and she insisted on accompanying us over to show us the room. The room was huge as was the bathroom. A lovely double bed and well appointed bathroom with nice toiletries. Breakfast was taken in the main building and was really nice with a great choice. All in all it was great value for money and I can only assume the people who were unhappy were there when work was ongoing which is unfortunate as I would recommend this hotel
