I could not have asked for a better place to stay in Kashmir! The views from the hotel were gorgeous and situated right on the water at Dal lake. The owner, Latif, makes this place a must stay in Srinagar. Him and his helper made the stay very special. From cooking delicious breakfast to setting up Shikara rides, Latif treated us like family and was the best. I’d highly recommend staying here. Unforgettable experience at The Chocolate Box!!

This cosy place situated opposite ghat no.12 of Dal lake was our best stay in the entire Kashmir trip. Brilliant location, amazing view of Dal lake,modern amenities, timely service and above all the exceptional hospitality of owner Lateef uncle...this place delivers much more than expected.Booking is not available online, you have to directly call Lateef uncle and do the booking.A special mention to caretaker Rambahadur ji who smilingly caters to the needs of guests and makes mind-blowing egg sandwiches.

It is Well maintained and peaceful. Good ambience and spacious rooms. It is situated opposite to the Dal lake. One can make a choice of restaurants which are all at a walkable distance from the hotel.

We loved the entire experience of our stay in The Chocolate Box. This is the best you can ask for, to enjoy Srinagar. Excellent location, amazing view of Dal lake, modern, clean and cozy rooms. We stayed there for four nights, before and after our trek and we were able to leave our luggage safe at the hotel while we were away for a week. Latif uncle is super fun and friendly and treated us like his own children. He looked after us very well and was concerned when we skipped dinner one evening :D. He provided us with a good car, rikshaw, and even a shikara to go around the beautiful city. With his contact, we were even able to explore some non-touristy places in the old city, comfortable and safely. The helper, Mr. Ram Bahadur, always served us with a smile and gentleness. This place would surely always remain our place of stay whenever we visit Srinagar. Thanks to Latif uncle and Ram Bahadur chacha - The Chocolate Box, for making our visit so beautiful and memorable.

Took advantage of the downtown Dal lake location to walk to dinner, check out a couple galleries, and have drinks. It was great. Service top notch as always. verall, I had a great experience with the The Chocolate Box ; staff was incredibly helpful, and the amenities were great. The room was wonderful, clean, and perfect

Probably the best place to stay in srinagar. Right in front of Dal lake and Shankaracharya temple behind, it provides the perfect feel of Kashmir. Best hospitality extended by Latif uncle during our 4N stay. Food was equally good and cooked as per our preference of kashmiri cuisine. This is a perfect boutique hotel for stay in Srinagar, extremely clean, all modern amenities, rich decor and perfect ambience. Highly recommended!! Thanks Latif uncle for making our stay memorable. Looking fwd for the next visit.
