Staying for two nights. At dinner time of the second night, Tyax's water system totally failed. No spare parts, no backup, no secondary system. No showers, no bathrooms facilities, etc. Cash registers worked ok, charged us the full rate! Management later offered a free night some time in the future, however as lodge is a nine plus hour drive and ferry trip from our home (each way), this was not an option. Even if it was next door we would not return. An actual embarrassment for Canada as foreign tourists staying were not at all impressed.

This company is the most ruthless money hungry company I have ever encountered. I would never book a trip with them. They will treat you as a way for them to make money only and not care about your welfare.

What an amazing place. Tyax lodge is an oasis in the high mountains. While there we mountain biked, swam in tyaughton lake and hiked into the back country camping at an Alpine lake. Our stay was incredible. Service was perfect and responsive. We are lucky enough to see 2 grizzly bears at a distance and pick wild blue berries while we hiked into the Alpine. Amazing! We will be back.

"Your staff are awesome. The front desk and dining staff were great. I have biked the Chilcotins a dozen times but never stayed at the lodge. We camped and used the spa & dining, an incredible combo. We will be back every year now."

My family has a rustic cabin on the lake and occasionally we like to treat ourselves to the luxury of Tyax lodge. The service and food are amazing at the restaurant and of course the Lodge is famous for so many things, but I want to give a huge shout out to "Jerome" who is the manager at the Lodge. I needed to use a landline and he made that possible for me. He went well beyond anything I would have expected. I encourage everyone to come here, but for those on the Lake, treat yourselves, you will not be disappointed.
