Booked this last minute in our way from the airport to Arthur’s Pass. The room was great with all we needed in the kitchen as well. There is a small gas station not far away where you can buy some food to cook. Other than that there really isn’t much at the town. But we loved it. Also the owner was super sweet and welcoming. Great to be able to park right in front of your own room.

Beautiful and quiet place to stay overnight before heading to Arthur's Pass. Amber was extremely accommodating and friendly. The room was also very clean and tidy with everything we needed for our stay.

Have stayed here before but this time wanted a unit with more cooking facilities so we chose the front unit. Easy parking and nice larger size unit with full kitchen . Perfect for a longer stay (2 weeks). Also has many TV channels and couch and heating to make it cozy . Bed was also comfortable with extra dooners available I highly recommend the front unit for longer stays . Although you can here some small noises from the rooms next door it was quite minor

Had a wonderful one night stay. Very clean, tidy and comfortable. Lovely shower and comfy bed. Friendly and welcoming Would definitely recommend if you're planning to stay in the area.

Beautiful & homey, but... This is a beautiful property with lovely units. The units are beautifully decorated and appointed with full kitchen and living area. This had all of the hallmarks of being my favorite stay on this trip, but then I lay on the bed. Hard.As.A.Rock. I used all of the bed pillows too make a pallet on the bed while my sister slept on the loveseat. With a new mattress this will be an outstanding place to stay. ** This is from the perspective of a 60 year old woman. A younger person may fare better than I.

Nearing the end of our 3 week NZ tour, we had a few 'no vacancy' hiccups. As we wanted to be fairly close to Christchurch, I booked ahead in Darfield. Arriving there (28C outside) was disappointed to find no a/c, room fairly scruffy, TV did not work. Put it down as a bad choice, when 6-8 Motorcycles rode in - having arrived, they amused themselves by testing throttle, riding round car park, before taking rooms immediately above....... Enough was enough, saw manager, left, looking again. Result? Springfield motel, clean, comfortable (a/c!) QUIET, TV worked, REALLY nice host. What more could you ask for? OK, had kitchenette, lounge area, plus b/room. Oh, forgot to mention 50$ CHEAPER than the horror show............

This is a little gem of a place can’t recommend enough, lovely hepfull owner, hot tub, birds in the trees, very modern interior. Could stay a while and forget about time.
