The hotel is newer. We live in a two-bedroom, one-bedroom room with a bathroom and a kitchen. However, the two-room room has only one room and the living room has an outside balcony. The living room in other rooms has a window but only faces the room opposite the patio. Not to mention the scenery, it is difficult to see the sun - the only window in each bedroom is facing the living room, there is no outside window. Therefore, if you are not like the elderly and children who are not fluent in language, you must live in a two-bedroom apartment with a kitchen apartment, or choose a room with a room, the new hotel, the decoration is novel, the location is walking distance from the center. It takes about 20 minutes but it is still recommended. Although there is no kitchen in the room type, it seems to be on the second floor (the elevator in the hotel is displayed on the 5th floor and the front desk is on the 4th floor). There is a public kitchen next to the pool. I have not tried it. I always see a lot of foreign men in use. You can consult the hotel before booking. The hotel has two Mercedes-Benz smart rentals, which seems to be 60 Australian dollars a day. If two people travel, it is convenient to rent a car to the surrounding area. It is very expensive to park in the city center, and it is more cost-effective to walk and rent.
Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill

We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.
Punthill Spring Hill

There were multiple issues throughout our stay and my partner and I left early to go to another hotel. I am aware that Punthill are currently undergoing renovations, and I appreciate the challenges associated with this. However, I do feel that our experience was unacceptable. Our allocated apartment smelt strongly of fresh paint, had paint splatters on the carpet, no cupboard, and a loud sound when the toilet was flushed. We requested to move to another apartment, which was granted. We spent one night in that subsequent apartment, and were woken at 6am to tradespeople sanding the wall in the room next to us. Punthill staff then asked us to move apartments, because the apartment that they had shifted us into was to be painted over the weekend. In our third apartment, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes from the previous guests. We were kept up until almost 2am by a loud event in the apartment next to us, and threatened by one of those guests when we asked them to quieten down. We had to call the afterhours Punthill number to request security attendance. We were fed up by this point and switched to another hotel. We won’t stay at Punthill again.

A nice modern room with all the amenities to go with it. Comfortable, clean, amazing shower and views, amazing staff and ample parking though not free. Near to public transportation, coffee shop on the ground floor and abundant retail shops nearby.

I stay here when in Brisbane - it's conveniently close to Roma Street Station, I can check in no matter how late I arrive, and I always get a good nights sleep. The breakfast in the morning fills me for the day, and the staff have always been friendly and super helpful.
