Overall good value for money

Our stay was very good. The personnel manning the front desk appeared immediately when someone approached. The breakfast meal was good and plentiful. We both like the sausage and cheese sandwich especially. The facilities were very clean and everything was in good repair. All the staff were congenial.

Place is a dump. Staff is rude and not cooperative at all. Rooms are dirty AF. The door on my room barely closed. Looked like it had been kicked in many times. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. It’s a dump. And stinks. Man did it ever smell.

Close in but not my first choice Three nights, solo. Was disappointed to find that the pool and fitness room are permanently closed. (It looks like the website now indicates this.) Had trouble checking in because the front desk couldn't properly deal with Apple digital payment for the refundable $50 security deposit because encryption changes the apparent credit card number. When offered a room on either the upper or lower floors, the reception person neglected to tell me there was no elevator. I am capable of carrying my luggage upstairs, but other people might not be. Couldn't believe there is no password on the Wifi. Also, at one point I could not get my room to open. The front desk gal remarked that the door to my room number was known to have issues. Maybe she just said this to mean me feel better, but if it is true, they should fix the problem. I was chastised for taking the outside stairs at the Exit sign down. A man at the bottom told me they were for emergency exit only. I suggested they have a sign saying so. Later in the day I noticed they had found such a sign and put it up. But why wasn't it up already? Breakfast was better than I expected given other reviews. Bed and pillow were comfortable. Lots of places to charge devices, which I appreciated. Afternoon/evening cookies and popcorn were a nice touch. All in all, the staff were generally helpful, but other things were problematic. I stayed here to be close to family during a funeral weekend. I probably won't stay again.

The property was convenient to the sports fields we were at bit getting into the hotel is difficult. The street was incredibly noisy. The pool was closed completely and breakfast was a joke. One of those "now we know" kind of places.
