The hostel itself was so clean, comfortable and moderately large and nice. The desk was good as much as the school accommodation was renovated and the building and the interior of the hostel were really clean. Good hostel view The bed is a single bed, so it's not good for couples. Everything else is good, but the location is a bit bad. I took Uber to downtown, but it's about 45 kuna. Still, it was okay because it wasn't far away

We stayed at the Horizon Luxury suites for one night in the superior sea view suite - Blue room No. 5. I was looking for something close to the city and attractions as well as near to the beach. This place is perfectly placed literally a 5min walk to the Marina, old town and Palace and Cathedral. The beach approx 6mins away. The hotel as you may have read is in a converted office block, so from the street it doesn’t look that luxury! Also the doors are totally hidden, to the left of the front, that just looked like windows but actually a concealed entrance which opens when you approach it. The suites are on the 5th floor and I’d arranged to drop off our suitcases ahead of check-in. Nothing was too much trouble suitcases stored, taxi booked the following day to the airport for €40 paid directly to the taxi. The suite was massive, wonderful air conditioning and had everything we needed. The reception desk also recommended restaurants and provided a map to make it easy to navigate the city, I honestly can’t fault this, place…. It’s a little unconventional, so some people may prefer to stick to a traditional hotel, but we’d definitely stay here again, A big thank you to Ivan and the reception team who helped make our stay so easy and enjoyable, your communication and helpfulness was much appreciated.

Very good location, on the 14th floor of an office building, within 15 minutes walk from the train station, bus station, pier, and ancient city, the room is very spacious and clean, the view is very good (second killing the level of the observation deck). But the problem is that the contact information of the hotel on Trip.com is wrong (it is the phone number of other companies under Luxury, not this store), and the hotel has no front desk. It took me a long time to contact the hotel for accommodation. Figure 3 in the comments is the correct call

Korta Apartments was a fantastic place to stay in Split. We were a group of 13 spanning age range from 5 to 75. Mia on the front desk was amazingly helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean and quiet. The beds were super comfy. Even the coffee and pastries in the morning hit the spot. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to anyone.

Fabulous hotel and staff. We stayed in a Superior Room with sea view on the top floor and the views were fantastic. Our room was ready before check in time and it was spotlessly clean. It was a small room, but for one night it was fine. The bed and sheets were very comfy and the ac worked very well. We used the roof top bar and pool area. The pool is very shallow, apart from a small section at the end, but it good enough to cool off in. It's also a good spot to boat watch from. All of the food and drink we had at The Ambasador during our short stay was very good. The staff were professional and happy to help. My partner and I both had massages which were very good, and a nice treat. We didn't use the spa or gym area, but we looked and it was clean and welcoming. We would definitely stay at The Ambasador again, and would highly recommend it for a stay in Split.

Best bits: small boutique hotel - only 47 rooms set in well manicured gardens; friendly staff throughout the hotel; fantastic pool/jacuzzi/spa and comfortable loungers; excellent breakfast and snack menu for lunch and good evening a la carte menu; small supermarket/bakery /pharmacy opposite; located 20 minutes outside Split but easy access by local bus (stop outside hotel €2.50/person) or Uber €8 (cheaper than taxi); beside one of the main archaeological sites. Bad bits: none really but more clothes hangers in wardrobes would help!!

Overall, it was a good hotel, but I wouldn't consider it worthy of a 5-star rating. The room was excellent, especially the bed and the air conditioning. Bathroom was a bit outdated for a hotel claiming to be 5-star. Despite this, both the room and the hotel were clean and well-maintained. I particularly enjoyed the private beach area in front of the property. It was a great perk to have access to complimentary beach chairs and towels. The surroundings were lovely, and it added to the overall experience. Breakfast was a disappointment considering the size and standard of the hotel. The breakfast selection was limited, and the quality was not up to par. For example, the fruits were not fresh, and there was no freshly squeezed juice available. It fell short of my expectations. The other restaurants within the hotel were quite expensive, and there wasn't much else in terms of dining options within walking distance. Dinner for two persons (main course with wine glasses) was 70+ euros. The Italian restaurant Conlemani offered delicious pasta and risotto dishes and was by far our favourite restaurant, but Gooshter and Port 74 left us disappointed. Gooshter was decent but one time the food we ordered to the beach never came. Port 74 was disappointment because we thought it would be more fine dining based on the advertisements and photos. It would have been convenient to have a shuttle bus service to Split city center, so guests could enjoy dinner or explore the area. Unfortunately, this service was not provided. The distance between the hotel and the center of Split is not long, but can take up to an hour depending on the traffic. In addition, there is a huge difference in the prices of Uber and regular taxis, as Uber costs around 15 euros and a regular taxi costs 30+ euros. In conclusion, the hotel was decent overall, but it would be a bigger disappointment if you tend to use your time exploring the destination and use the hotel mainly for sleeping and breakfast. The true value of the hotel lies in utilizing the beach and other facilities and amenities such as the restaurants, although they come at a highish cost. So if you're looking for a place to relax and take advantage of the amenities, this hotel could be a good choice. However, if you expect a truly 5-star experience in all aspects, you might want to consider other options.

PPeterVery nice and large room, with beautiful views on the central square. staff is extremely nice and helpful. as the hotel is very small (upper floor of the building - each floor hosts a different hotel), there is no hotel restaurant. for breakfast, you get vouchers for neighboring restaurant ”bokeria”, which is very nice as well. the breakfast was excellent, especially the Dalmatian poached eggs. hotel location couldn't be better - right in the center of the old town, all sights are just a 5 minute walk away. the hotel is in a pedestrian zone, but if you are travelling with heavy luggage, they can arrange to bring you very close to the hotel (by golf cart). even though centrally located, if you have the windows shut, you don't hear any noise. I can highly recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting the old town of Split. I hope to be able to return one day.

Ddorothyc341My husband and I travelled on the 16th September on British Airways, which took 2hrs 40 minutes from Heathrow. Jet2 stop flying to Split after 31st August during the autumn and winter period. We stayed in 'Up There Design Rooms' which was in an excellent location with a short walk to all the touristy sights and nearby small beach. The rooms were on the 6th Floor gained by an elevator and were fairly basic in as much as furniture. Two swivel stools, a swivel chair, double bed with small tables either side and a clothes closet and shelves. We had a wonderful shower unit, toilet and sink unit with shelves underneath. The room was huge with windows all along this side with a view of lovely little white houses with red roofs going uphill towards the mountains. The window sill went the whole length along the window which was very useful and underneath was a socket for recharging phone or IPad. Incidentally the Wifi was really good. The best part of staying in 'Up There rooms' was the small coffee lounge, where you could help yourself to small biscuits, fruit, tea or coffee any time you needed a little refreshment at tables with some astonishing views of the Port. Adjoining this was the reception desk, manned by three outstanding staff, namely Petra, Valentina and Marko. They gave information about where to go, how to get to, and anything you needed to do, absolutely worth their weight in gold, nothing was a bother for them. THIS made the holiday all the more enjoyable. Couldn't beat this hotel for cleanliness, pristine white sheets, duvet and towels every other day... BLISS. The Old Town was really interesting, with shops, restaurants, and bars scattered around it in centuries old streets and buildings. It's a warren of little streets and took a couple of days to get your bearings in and around it. We found a lovely bar in the Central Square called 'No Stress'. It certainly lived up to it's name. Just sitting there having a quiet drink and people watching was pure relaxation. The waiters and staff were so pleasant and efficient. We didn't have a meal there, but I DID sample their Tiramasui and it was 'top notch' to say the least. The cleanliness was second to none, as the refuse collector came round every Hour in his little truck and picked up the trash from shops, restaurants, and bars, consequently there was not a scrap of litter anywhere. We walked the hind legs of a donkey, as it was so easy to do so, because the terrain was pretty flat around the Port. And there were seats everywhere to rest the weary legs if necessary. The Port was 'busy-busy' and Ocean Liners coming and going each day, and lots of large ferries taking tourists to the surrounding towns and islands. The main promenade area was breathtaking. Best I've ever had the fortune to encounter in my travels and once again immaculately litter-free. We walked up to the Park and the views were superb looking down on to the Port and exquisite promenade. Th

GGuest UserIt is a good option for you if you drive since the hotel is located 15 minutes from Split old town. It is a fair distance to drive to the centre. The hotel is new and clean with a modern interior design of the room which makes it pleasant to stay. The well design of the hotel room makes it feel spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is relatively simple with not much choice but that does not bother us since Split has many great restaurants out there waiting for us. Overall, I am satisfied with this stay and would recommend this hotel since it is clean and beautiful.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in an incredible location, at an incredible price. The room and building were very clean with great facilities, though some of the room furniture, like the desk chair, could use a bit of a refurbishment. This however for most travelers will be no issue as you will want to be out and about exploring the city and using the room as just a home base. I will absolutely come and stay again, and thoroughly enjoyed my time in Split and my stay at Slavija. It can be a bit hard to find to those new to the winding streets, but the location is perfect for an unforgettable trip. Thanks to the staff at the Slavija for an incredible stay!

GGuest UserAfter having a booking with an alternative apartment cancelled by the hosts at last minute (2 weeks before travelling to Split!!) we had to frantically search for new accommodation, and I’m so glad we stumbled across Central Pearl! The name certainly reflects how we felt about this place. Before travelling, the hosts contacted us to ask if we needed a transfer from the airport (which we declined) and what time we would be arriving. First off, the location was absolutely perfect; only a 5 minute walk from the Riva, Diocletian’s Palace and the Bus Station, and about a 15 minute walk to Bačvice Beach. There was also a convenience store at the end of the street which was super handy! When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff (unfortunately we didn’t catch her name) who gave us a business card with the code to enter the building and a phone number to call if we needed anything. We didn’t actually see any other members of staff after this until we checked out, but our rooms were made up everyday by housekeepers. The rooms are not the largest, but certainly not cramped at all and absolutely spotless, as well as being very tastefully decorated. We were also very impressed with the bathroom (again, spotless), which had a walk in rainfall shower as well as a detachable shower head, both of which were very powerful. There was also a mini fridge and hairdryer provided, as well as a very effective air con. The TV did not have any signal from the aerial but Netflix was available and logged in ready to use (not sure if this was left logged in by previous guests or the hosts). The only downside to this accommodation is the noise from the road outside, as it is situated on the main road down to the Riva/bus station/port and is very busy at all times of day/night. Unfortunately even with the windows closed it was still very loud, but in fairness to Central Pearl they provided ear plugs for both of us to use which were very effective at blocking the noise out so we still slept well. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at Central Pearl and would happily come back again without any hesitation, as well as recommending it to everyone!

PPikachuuuuuuThe room does not have a sea view. This is not like a hotel, more like a villa, the security of it is not very high, as it has 2 entrances. The entrance from the pool, anyone can access it without a problem. The swimming pool was quite dirty, it has a lot of bugs floating, and also it has not been regularly cleaned by the staff. It has a lot of restaurants nearby, and the quality and the price are better than those tourist meals in the old town. The lift was broken on the first day, second day they informed us it is fixed. But it still has a little bit sudden sinking issue. I guess Croatia does not have regulation of fix term lift checking, as it does not have any certificate in the lift inside/outside. If the hotel showed 3 stars and the price is lower. I would rate The right side of the balcony has a big tennis field on the 2nd-floor level, it is very close, and it was quite annoying that people can look over easily. The suite does not worth 4 stars. The rug is super old, it has some stains on it. The Front door lock is looking new, it is safe, but some electricity installation was not installed properly, it looks like you can pull them out easily. The Electric Safety box is not working with the password, the hotel left a key in there for use. Breakfast arrangement is well managed for guests with early tour, they could arrange breakfast box including 1 fruit, 3 breads, and 1 yogurt at 06am to 07am.

MMINGSHUNThe hotel has a good location, facing the bay. It's a pity that the jacuzzi faces a wall, right next to the bed. It is far from the imagination of looking at the sea view soaking bathtub 😂 Parking on the surrounding road parking 50-60 kuna or underground parking at the hotel next door 120 kuna The small town is not big, it is convenient to come and go.

WWDavidThe Hotel is nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the homey atmosphere. However, there are a few things one should be aware of before booking: The hotel is in the historic district just about 5 min walk west from the Prominade area. Taxis cannot drive in, so it is necessary to walk in with one's baggage. Also, any excursions will start with a walk out of the area to the main taxi stand. Navigating the area can be a challenge the first couple of times; one MUST have the ability to use their maps app. T-mobile - America has an international plan that give you up to 2G speed unlimited data and texting, but I highly recommend getting a local sim card. Look at the map of the city before choosing this hotel. There are a lot of nice restaurants within 2-5 minutes walking. Furthermore, the office closes from 11pm till 7am. Most importantly, they DO NOT take credit cards. IF you did not pay for the room online, you will need local cash, and you will need it to pay the taxes on the room, and for a taxi if you booked it through the hotel. Cash only. (They do have a zelle option, but I could not get it to work. I recommend cash. Speaking of cash, one should get it from an actual bank ATM as the rates 11% vs the 22-25% some private ATMs charge.) I give the hotel 4 of 5 for comfort, 5/5 for cleanliness, 3 or 5 for location. I'd give this hotel

GGuest UserI regret to have selected this hotel during my stay in Split. Stay away of it. 🙁 The hotel room was just Ok, but the overall hotel place was not. The pictures of the hotel in this and other booking sites are not showing the real situation of the place. It rests in the upper floors of a sort of abandoned section of a commercial building. The elevators, corridors, lights, are all in very bad state, bad looking, stains all over the old worn carpet, dirty walls. After taking an elevator with a button panel patched with silver tapes and scratched glass panels, you see damaged walls, debris all the way to the reception, which is just a desk in an empty hall. The security of the hotel is an issue as the door of rooms can't be locked from inside. The magnetic card that opens the doors also opens the glass sliding door to the street that remains open whenever a guest opens it and the sensors detect someone walking on the street - as there is a discotheque in the same building, the waiting line to enter the disco reaches the street door and it keeps open as there is always someone standing in front. The noise of the disco is another issue as it is loud and it persists along the whole night till 4am. The parking facility offered to me by the hotel was a single-car garage of someone's house 900m away, and they charged 40EUR for 2 days, what is the same you pay to leave the car overnight in the 2 closer Public parking lots in 2 nights. The sites advertise it as a 4-Star Hotel - this is obviously not overrated – maximum worthy a 1 or 2-star rate. it cannot even be classified as a B&B as there is not breakfast, and they had none to recommend nearby. I have anticipated my checkout in one night and found somewhere else to stay in Split at least to be able to sleep well, and despite they recognize the problems listed above, the hotel manager refused to refund me for this last night and the garage that I did not get to use. They charged the full stay upfront on check in (now I understand why), and then to refuse refund was easier as I had already paid for all nights.
