Hotel Astra is really a great place for relax in the middle of Špindlerův Mlýn, not only because of its proximity to the ski slopes but especially for its beautiful wellness area. Several saunas, a swimming pool, and an overall peaceful atmosphere make it a perfect place to relax. The rooms are clean, bright, and well equipped, offering stunning mountain views. Half board is definitely worth it. The breakfast is rich and varied, and dinner offers a selection of several dishes, so everyone can find something they like. A nice bonus was the ice cream and dessert corner for kids. Families with children will appreciate the well equipped playroom. Another big plus is the free parking. As for the location, the hotel is just a 3 min walk from the Snowtubing area and a 4 min drive to the ski slopes. There is also a ski and snowboard rental on site. All in all, a great place to stay, and we highly recommend it!

We stayed at this hotel for 5 days while skiing in the beautiful hills of Krkonose. Our stay was simply wonderful - all the staff at this hotel were absolutely lovely. I have food allergies (to gluten and dairy) and eating out can be very difficult, however chef Radek has made eating at the hotel a wonderful experience. He give me information about each dish, so I could make an informed choice. He also cooked dishes specifically for me when possible - honestly this is such a lovely thing to do as I'm usually limited to 1 dish on a menu in a restaurant, here I had a real choice of dishes each day. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food - traditional Czech cuisine done very well, plenty of option and superb staff that worked very hard each day to make our stay lovely. From the ladies that cleared away dishes and always remembered to bring me some gluten free bread and dairy free milk, to the waiting staff - Ondra, who was very attentive, remembered our favorite drinks and always had a ready recommendation for a drink with a dinner, to wellness and reception staff, who helped us with reservations. The cleanliness in the hotel was great too, it's very clear that the staff at this hotel do their best for their guests. We had a delightful stay that we will remember for a long time, thank you!!!

This is a classic Eastern block hotel that has been rebuilt. But The heating system is still dysfunctional. The heater in the room could not be turned off. Turning the room into a sauna. The heater in the bathroom could not be turned on, so the towels were always wet. The swimming pool offers no launching possibility. You either swim or you're not there at all.. At breakfast they ran out of bread at nine thirty. No effort to compensate or excuse themselves. This hotel is worth hundred euros a night but cost two hundred. That completely out of the range.

Wir waren im hier für einen kurzen Skiurlaub und sind im Großen und Ganzen zufrieden. Die Zimmer sind ok, es war sauber, Essen vom Buffet war auch gut. Es mangeld an Parkplätzen. Ein Raum zum Unterbringen der Skiausrüstung wäre wünschenswert. Das Personal ist nicht durchweg freundlich und gästeorientiert, aber größtenteils bemüht. Der Wellnessbereich ist klein, aber sehr schön. Allerdings gibt es zu wenig Handtücher. Skibus fährt unweit vom Hotel, ist aber immer überfüllt. Taxi ist eine relativ günstig Alternative.

Der einzige Pluspunkt ist die schöne Lage. Zwar etwas versteckt aber super Aussicht auf das Skigebiet. Die Zimmer sehr hellhörig, klein und einfach mit winzigem Balkon gerade so für 2 Personen zum stehen. Es gibt keinen Safe und keine Möglichkeit Skisachen zu trocknen. Das Personal sehr wortkarg und kurz ab. In deutsch wurde nicht gesprochen.

Die Zimmer sind einfach eingerichtet (ohne Safe) mit winzigem Balkon. Keine Möglichkeiten die Skisachen zu trocknen. Alles ist sehr hellhörig und der Essensgeruch durchzieht alle Räume. Wir hatten nur Frühstück gebucht - es war ... ok! Das Personal war sehr unfreundlich. Laut Ausschreibung sollte auch Deutsch gesprochen werden. Hier allerdings nur knapp in Englisch. Die Rezeption ist mangelhaft besetzt, da man es vorzieht im hinteren Bereich mit anderem Personal zu plaudern. Das Wohl des Gastes kommt hier leider zu kurz!
