It’s a Hotel without reception, so a little tricky to go first to the restaurant to check in and then move to the hotel location (200m).
Room very good and spacious with big TV and with Nespresso coffee machine . Bathroom good, nice big shower

I booked the duplex with a perfect view of the Speyer Christmas and New Year's Market on main street. Gästehaus Maximilian is the PERFECT spot if you are looking for an authentic small town Germany experience. Just make sure to clearly communicate any special circumstances or requests, if you book in advance. Highly recommended.

Wir haben ein Familienzimmer gebucht, und als wir Abends einchecken wollten wurde uns gesagt es wären nurmehr 2 Doppelzimmer verfügbar. Jemand anders hätte unser Zimmer bekommen. Nachdem wir die Zimmer gesehen haben, kann man nicht von Doppelzimmer sprechen. Das Bett in einem der Doppelzimmer war eigentlich nur die Breite eines Einzelbetts, da kann man noch so viel einen zweiten Polster dazulegen. Auf die Bitte um wenigstens dafür einen Preisnachlass zugewähren (oder kostenloses Frühstück) wurde nur mit einem läppischen Getränk abgeschasselt. Nein Danke das war eine sehr ungemütliche weil enge Nacht. Kann ich niemanden empfehlen, und was so die Booking Einträge schreiben, sind wir nicht die einzigen die nicht das bestellte Zimmer bekamen, das hat System!!!

Mit Pkw sehr schlecht erreichbar, vom Haupthaus getrennt, was aus den Angaben nicht klar ersichtlich. Empfangspersonal ziemlich inkompetent (falsche Angaben zu Parkmöglichkeit z.B.). Zimmer aber soweit in Ordnung, sauberes und gutes Bad, allerdings spartanische Möblierung mit kaum Sitzmöglichkeiten, Für Kurzaufenthalt geeignet.

Super für einen kurzen Aufenthalt
Check-In im Café lief schnell und ohne Probleme. Das Gästehaus ist nicht weit vom Café entfernt und hat eine super zentrale Lage.
Zimmer war klein aber für zwei Nächte völlig ausreichend. Alles war sauber und in einem guten Zustand.
Einzig und allein das Badezimmer mit der Glaswand und nicht richtig schließenden Schwenktür hat uns nicht gefallen. Manchmal wünscht man sich doch etwas mehr Privatsphäre. Aber das scheint in vielen Hotels gerade modern zu sein. Ist Geschmacksache.
In allem ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt.
