Call me romantic, but we're talking about a great combination of hospitality, amenities, coziness and views, and it hadn't even snowed. Beauty outside in nature and inside the hearts of Mr. George and Mrs. Mary in a 1930's mansion carefully and in harmony with our modern requirements!

Lovers of undifferentiated international tourism go your way! At Marie and Georges, we are in the heart of Greece and this 5-room guesthouse is worth it: you have to climb a steep road which dominates the plain of Sparta, then a few stairs to arrive in this place marked by the generosity of the hosts. Marie has just retired as a French teacher, she cooks well, typical food from her region. The evening meal is 25€, but it is definitely worth it; we came out a little too well fed...but delighted. Georges, a fine connoisseur of the region's trails (he is a guide) is also passionate about popular Greek music; we thus finished our meal with music. The rooms are very good, we're not in a 5☆ but that's what I like: an old house, well maintained, with character like its owners. To visit Mistra, it is a good base, even if you have to go back down into the valley. A stay that will remain in my memory, authentic, sincere and generous.

If there were 10 stars they really deserve them and they are few! The people of the hostel are the kindest warm and welcoming people ever!!! You don't want to leave your house because it really feels like your home!! Great location and trails to follow!

Une belle maison traditionnelle, en altitude, avec de belles randonnées à proximité. Les vrais joyaux sont le gentil couple qui la gère, à qui je donnerais 15/10. Impossible de leur rendre justice en quelques lignes, mais si vous y êtes allés, vous savez ! Nourriture exceptionnelle, accueil exceptionnel, service exceptionnel, attention exceptionnelle aux détails, au-delà de tout ce qu'un hôtel 5* pourrait offrir, parce que cela vient du cœur. Quelle expérience ! Ils nous manquent déjà ...

Ci sono posti fuori dal comune. Come questa guesthouse sul Taigeto in un luogo meraviglioso e fermo nel tempo. Straordinaria la bellezza della casa di legno dei primi del Novecento. Colazioni ricche e di altissimo livello. Patio con pergolato d'uva e alberi di fichi tutt'intorno. Vista mozzafiato dalle stanze. Ma sono soprattutto Maria e Georgos che gestiscono questo luogo fiabesco a meritare una recensione. Per la loro gentilezza, l'affetto, l'originalità e la creatività e la straordinaria capacità di accogliere. Cena ottima. Tutto perfetto. Uno di quei luoghi in cui andare assolutamente sia che si voglia fare il turista sia che si voglia fare il viaggiatore. In entrambi i casi, da questo luogo si impara molto e ci si cura corpo e spirito.

Nous avions passé une moment paisible chez Maria et George. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueilli. Maria parle très bien français. Ils ont pu nous parler de la Grèce. Après un petit tour dans le village pour se dégourdir les jambes et profiter des sources, nous nous sommes installés sur la terrasse à l’ombre. Nous avons mangé des plats préparés spécialement pour nous et nos enfants. C’était délicieux. Georges a pu nous montrer ses talents de musicien et nous faire découvrir sa musique. Le petit déjeuner était exquis. Merci encore pour votre accueil dans cette jolie bâtisse.

Op deze fantastische locatie zijn we verwend door de eigenaren van dit jaren dertig herenhuis. Tegen de berg geplakt met uitzicht op de bossen en vallei rondom kregen we heerlijk Grieks eten voorgeschoteld. De kamer had een balkonnetje van waar we genoten van de zonsondergang.
