Good reviews now so hopefully improved since our dreadful visit in Oct 24 when they clearly had not finished the refurb or got real staff for a 4 star hotel. You judge on your own experience, so hopefully those who wonder why the reviews were so bad last year are reaping the benefits of our feedback. Sadly it seems the smokers still rule.

Lovely hotel and probably the cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at. There is an endless supply of cleaners who clear the slightest bit of litter immediately. Gardeners and maintenace are visible and the Kazakh waiting staff in the resturanr are very efficient. The rooms are spacious, with good air conditioning. The food is plentiful and almost constant throughout the day. The hotel has a nice pool, with a children's pool and water slide in the gardens. Exiting via your room key card via the gardens take you to the beach right outside. The hotel is very family orientated if you are not with children, can be a bit annoying having them running round the restaurant at meal times. The only negative I have is that smoking is permitted everywhere, and you will find it difficult to find a table inside or out, where people won't be smoking constantly near you. In summary, (our second visit to the Martinez) a spotlessly clean,well run hotel, and ideally located for the beach and a 15 yo 20 minute walk to Sozopol old town.

We had fantastic 2 weeks at the Aparthotel Martinez. The hotel is great, big, spacious apartments, nice pool and daytime entertainment. Very good layout with pool in the middle surrounded by apartments. We felt very safe, as there was a guard at the both entrances. Our kids loved the mini club and evening disco. The food was nice with good choice of vegetarian dishes and fabulous puddings. Lobby bar had a great selection of drinks and comfy sofas and chairs. The hotel has a very good location, next to the beach and walking distance to the old town. Would recommend to any family with children.

Everything was great , very friendly staff, especially at the bar and reception, very clean, looks like the hotel was just been renovated, great water pressure and AC. Good smell everywhere. We had a great time and we will be back for sure

Nice hotel for families with children, the food is very good, also the location is great, very close to the beach. The only downside is you will not find any table at breakfast, lunch and dinner where no one is smoking close to you. Basically the people are smoking everywhere, besides of this i would recommend the hotel.

Very clean and nice hotel. In a great location right next to the beach. The staff is very kind and friendly. The rooms are large, clean and bright. we liked the garden and the pools the most. The food is fresh and varied. There were parking spaces provided for hotel guests
