Underwhelming and expensive for what you get

The property is absolutely stunning and the staff are incredible. However the toiletries are lacking, and the beds are very uncomfortable, especially if you sleep on your side. Did not get much sleep there despite the quiet property. We ended up having to put the extra cot pads on top of our mattresses in order to rest. I know pillow top mattresses are not typical in Italy, but these are very, very HARD.

The location and scenery was really great; as was the pool area with beds - a bit unfortunate that guests lay down their towels and are away for 3 hours and re-claim their parasols and beds again
The house was not clean , especially kitchen (all felt sticky) - there was no aircon (this was also not in the service description - but I filtered on pool, parking and aircon and this one turned up ; especially in rooms above it was really warm ...
The dining was not good (actually very poor) - we were there 3 times : very poor service overall (jn evening) in terms of : wrong meal served, very slow on delivery, needed to wait over an hour between rounds - with no attention if we need anything else : when asked it was indicated 5 more minutes , which turned out to be 15 min. ; meal served 2x without specifications (spoon, fork, etc.) ; side dishes vegetables were extremely poor (ingredients) ; whereas pricing was quite high

This place is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in. The view and location were magical, the staff was so kind and lovely, the food was amazing and the wifi connection had a good speed. Overall, this place is an amazing place to stay if you want to visit the beautiful places in Tuscany and also relax and enjoy some peace.

Great property for getting the Tuscan vibe. The restaurant and the pool are perfect for a relaxing vacation. We stayed four nights and were able to checkout nearby towns with ease.

Our family of 4 stayed here for 4 nights. We can't say enough great things about this Borgo. We have memories for a lifetime! Our kids are 4 and 7 years old. We were in the guards apartment. We put the kids to bed at night and watched the spectacular sunset over the pool through the window in the master bedroom. Having the kitchenette suited our needs with the kids perfectly. We did the wine tasting at the restaurant that the hotel helped us arrange last minute and it was such a great experience. The Borgo was a perfect home base to explore all that Tuscany had to offer, from the old towns to the nearby waterfalls and hot springs. Of note, the apartment that we were in had open windows without safety devices to keep a climbing kid from falling out, so we were a bit nervous at first, but the kids loved the apartment and the Borgo as much as we did and settled in well. I would not call the apartment we were in "fancy". Instead, it was comfortable, functional, and simply perfect for our family. I wish we could come back here every year and stay for longer!!

Had two perfect nights in this charming place. Everything was on a top: location, room, food. Many thanks to two Ukrainian ladies, who gave one of the best sirvices I've ever had through all my Italian trips, huge plus to a delicious cuisine. Homemade Olive Oil and gorgeous cheesecake were unforgettable. Coming back to Poland with the best memories. My recommendations!

There are beautiful places and there are beautiful places that have a soul like borgo il Poggiaggio ! Before listing the beauties of the place I want to make a special mention to the staff and the manager who really make a difference here: One day they have celebrated, involving all the guests, the birthday of the sweet Evelyn, the restaurant employee who , with her smile accompanies you from breakfast to dinner making you feel at home. This type of things are part of the perfect Italian Hospitality and are priceless! Now to list all the beautiful things of this place which make it the perfect spot for families: - beautiful cozy apartments - home feeling like if you were vacationing with friends - pool, sports courts and lovely ourdoor spaces for families - tuscan sunset and delicious food at their restaurant Are you still thinking about it? 🌳🤩🌳
