Quaint , charming Inn at the perfect location. My husband, myself and my Mom stayed while visiting our Coast Guard kid . What a fabulous find! Exceptionally clean ! Spacious and the added bonus of having great food, a good pour 😉 and friendly staff just steps below you . The beauty of Acadia was an added bonus. We Loved our stay at this establishment! Thank you Marty , Sara , Lilly and Willow . We hope to see you all soon . Deborah Carey , Tom and Mom

I’m so glad we stayed here for our trip to visit Acadia National Park. It’s in Southwest Harbor, which is just a short drive from Bar Harbor and Acadia. We stayed in the Cadillac room, which was everything I had hoped for – clean, bright and spacious, with everything we needed during our stay. Be aware that the rooms are upstairs and there is no elevator. Some people complained about the lack of parking, but there is a dedicated lot just a block away, which was no problem at all. Communication prior to - and during - our stay was great. Thank you!

We stayed here five night during the Acadia Birding Festival and found the owners, Marty and John, to be extremely friendly and helpful. Checking in consisted of a letter taped to the door, but contained their contact number and all information we needed. The next day we reached out to them to ask about a couple minor issues and John promptly arrived to resolve them. Note that there is a pretty tall staircase to ascend to access the rooms. We stayed in room #7 which faces the back of the building and it was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated with a well appointed kitchenette. The hardwood floors are beautiful and squeaky—a testimony to the age of the building! The only downside to the room is that the shower is quite tiny but manageable. The location is great—right in the town’s main business area and close to Acadia. We will be back!

We stayed in the Gorham overlooking Main Street. This place a vibe of a bygone time. Seeing the town, hearing the noise, squeak of old wood floors. But spotlessly clean, fully functional/supplied kitchen. Great meals in the cafe or cook in your room. Minutes from Acadia National Park. Minutes to lighthouses. Nice stay without the sardine feel of Bar Harbor.

This inn was an unexpected gem. An old-fashioned vibe with modern interior upgrades and decorations helped make this a wonderful one-night stay. Our room was actually a suite and included a full kitchen (which we didn't use as we didn't know it existed until we arrived), a separate living room/dining area, and, spacious bedroom. The shower room was separate from the toilet room, which was helpful for us getting ready in the morning. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, but if you like a firm mattress, maybe not. As other reviewers mentioned, there was no one there to great us, but a note left on the door for us gave us all the details we needed, and if you're used to air bnb, that's often the case. We stayed in early October, and the street basically folds up after 10 pm, so there was virtually no outside traffic noise. My only suggestion is for management to consider using non-scented laundry detergent/fabric softener. The product you're currently using is a bit overwhelming to someone with a sensitive nose! We also took advantage of the restaurant downstairs for one lunch and dinner and had an absolutely fabulous meal there. One kind of weird addition in this hotel is the tanning bed room. Great bonus if you're into that!

Wow I’ve been up since 3:20 am due to incredible noise from the traffic. Earplugs and closing windows doesn’t work. And the sound machine provided to drown out the noise had a dead battery. That should tell you something. The room was relatively clean. The shower was old and inadequate. The owner lady I spoke to months ago on the phone was genuinely nice. I’ll give her that. But for over $200 for 3 hours of sleep? I’d find someplace truly out of the way. I think it’s time for SW Harbor to drop the “quiet side of the island” motto. It hasn’t been that since this place was probably built. Hard lesson learned.

The inn is a little bit non-personal. They leave a note at the door with everything you need to know, but no host on the premises. The room was ok with everything you need. Our room was quiet. Walking distance to the few other places in town. Good enough for one or two nights.

I stayed here for five nights while attending the Acadia Birding Festival. Great little place, right in the heart of Southwest Harbor. Walkable to everywhere in town. Very comfortable room. And the owners were terrific.
