"Great location right by Southsea Common with a lovely view. We could walk to the Southsea Esplanade and nearby spots like the D-Day Story, Southsea Castle, Southsea Parade Pier, Clarence Pier, and the Portsmouth Naval Memorial. Buses to Portsmouth Harbour and Portsmouth & Southsea train stations were easy to catch. Super convenient for sightseeing.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Free croissants, snacks, coffee, and tea in the morning were a nice touch.
The room was fairly clean with simple facilities. The shower head and sink tap could use fixing—they didn’t work well. The bed was too soft for us, and we could hear people talking loudly outside until midnight.
Overall, a convenient place with good hospitality at a fair price."
"I was traveling alone by bike, and I was grateful that they treated me kindly even though I didn't speak English well. Since the beach was right in front, I enjoyed taking walks in the morning and evening."
"Nice, comfortable and very friendly hotel. Huge double bed. All rooms are very clean. A car park is very close to the hotel ( walk out of the hotel door, across the road and your in the carpark."
"The best hotel in the UK, none of them, recommended to all travellers who come here to see the warships
The front desk is very kind, the room is very large, the seats and beds are sufficient, there are many sockets, there is water with their own, the bathroom is spacious and clean, the shower room and the bathtub are separated (too much better than the garbage design that stands in the bathtub to take a shower), itself is very clean, The most important thing is that the lighting is very bright (everyone who has stayed in a British hotel knows that Leonardo or Ibis old mother loves to use indirect lighting, and the lights are still dark to death, it is inexplicable)
It can be seen that the old house has been remodeled for at least 50 years. The old lock was abandoned and replaced with a new induction room card; the fireplace was filled in and replaced with a whole house heating system; Retro drawstring toilet lights, etc., and the decoration tastes of the grandmother, but there are no fewer functions, there is a feeling of the king of residential transformation
Some things that are not a disadvantage to me, but be careful:
1. It seems that the heating temperature cannot be adjusted (but the temperature itself is good, the bathroom temperature is very warm)
2. TV is old, look at the degree of news, what screencasting is not thinking (do anyone really need this feature?)
Without stairs, you have to carry your own big luggage"

"The breakfast is great, it is a standard English breakfast freshly cooked for you, the chef is for buddies, and the craftsmanship is good. There are big and small servings, and small servings for ladies are definitely enough. The hotel is right by the Swan Lake, close to the sea, and the environment is great, you can watch the sunrise and sunset. The room facilities are family-style and the service is also very good."
"Incredible review. The room was absolutely spotless and very clean. The staff at reception were incredibly friendly and even let us drop our bags off early to which we found in our room when we checked in. Overall the experience was great and will certainly be returning soon."

Great
GGuest UserThe staff here are exceptional, and nothing is too much for them. They are super friendly and willing to help at every opportunity.
The room was bright and spacious and had everything needed for our short stay as a couple with our furry friend in tow.
The hotel is showing signs of needing some TLC in areas but overall it was nice and comfortable and great at the price point.
At 1st parking appeared to be a pain but after liaising with the awesome staff we were given a permit to park on the street. Bonus!
Overall, I would recommend this hotel and say 4-4.5 out of 5 was a good score.
GGuest UserThe Inn title was a little misleading as it was basically a bed for the night. It was just a room and the inn had no food service at all. There were only pubs nearby, rather than a café for breakfast the next morning. It was on a main road with very busy traffic outside, although there was a small car park in front. Street parking was very restricted due to yellow lines and parking permit areas.
However, Abi, the receptionist was very polite and extremely accommodating. He explained everything clearly and did his best to ensure that we were comfortable with our room.
