The Shelbourne

Second time visiting and just as good. Fully fitted kitchens with everything you could need. Big fluffy towels for all the bathrooms. Large spacious , comfy apartment. Dave is such a good host, friendly & helpful. Already looking at next year's visit.

The location of these apartments are fabulous for exploring all that Southport has to offer. Apartment 4 had plenty of space and was clean and tidy. Apartment is also well equipped. Host was very helpful and is local if you need anything. I would stay here again if I was in Southport.

Our key was in the key safe when we arrived. There were a few steps up with a metal ramp to the side. The hallway was bright and inviting. We had the penthouse (apartment 7). When we got into the apartment, we were blown away! There was a good size hallway, with a wc off it, two bedrooms and a lounge/kitchen/diner. Both bedrooms were huge and could have easily fitted two double beds. The first room gad a large comfy bed and a large sofa and had an ensuite bathroom, which was small but great . The second bedroom had a single bed in it, as well as a double bed and I think the single had a pull out mattress underneath. Again, it is ensuite, but with a shower. Both bedrooms had televisions. Through to the last room and it was unbelievable. The kitchen houses everything you could want for your own kitchen, fridge freezer washing machine dolce gusto coffee maker etc. The stove has 6 burners. It is all in black, but in no way dark. There's also a large table and a breakfast bar. In the lounge area, there's a huge window, making use of the stunning view. There are 3 massive sofas, plus chairs in here. I truly believe you could easily sleep at least 8 in the apartment The TV is a good size. Everything in the apartment is of extremely high quality, and a lot of thought has gone on to the planning and with guest comfort in mind. There is also a terrace with furniture for those brighter days. There are plenty of plugs, and the lighting is excellent throughout. All in all, we loved our two night break here and definitely intend to return.

We cannot recommend the Shelbourne highly enough. We have stayed three times this year and already booked for next year. We stay in apartment 4 and it is like a self-contained house. Everything you need is provided and Dave the owner is so friendly and helpful. Being dog friendly is a big plus and being so close to the shops, pub's and restaurants is great. Will be counting down the days to our next visit.

Stayed in apartment 6 . Four adults & three children. Absolutely lovely with plenty of space. Ideal location and Dave who met us was so accommodating. Would definitely book again and recommend to others.

Myself, my partner & another couple stayed here from the 3rd until 6th March, we were wowed by the apartment & couldn't fault anything, you could live here. Everything from decor to the furnishing is done with great taste & we felt very comfortable there. Near to all attractions, restaurants & at the end of Lord St for your shopping needs. The facilities cover absolutely all that you need but if you are unsure about anything Dave Clarke was extremely helpful & an amazing host. We would all definitely stay here again, thanks Dave for showing us around, your apartments are all equally as tastefully furnished as ours.
