Not a very good start with entering our room the smell was very apparent they had problems with the toilet even the cleaner agreed with the smell emanating from the toilet two cans of room deodorant helped Our main gripe would be with the food as we booked breakfast and dinner not a great choice of meals offered arrived Saturday afternoon not pleased with the meal, then breakfast over done fried eggs ,sausage just about passable beans and tomatoes were obviously warmed up from yesterday or the day before the bacon was overcooked like shoe leather uneatable I wouldn't try the mushrooms and the hash browns were horrible the same goes with the fried bread On the Sunday whilst passing the reception we asked about the .meal times and was only told then that we had to go to the sister hotel the prince of Wales a cross the road for our meal nobody made us aware of having to go there before we asked .the prince of Wales hotel was spotless and food was really good, well done to them they should teach the scarisbrick hotel how to run a well organised hotel and definitely train the chef ( cafe cook ) cant call him a chef
Waterfront Southport Hotel

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and were so pleased that we did. We had a gorgeous deluxe room, overlooking the marina. Unfortunately, my husband is allergic to feathers, and we didn't realise that feather duvet and pillows would be provided. Within 5 minutes of contacting Reception, housekeepers arrived to change the bedding. Nothing was too much trouble. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and pleasantly served, so I don't know why there were negative reviews on here about the food. When we checked out, the Receptionist said that we could keep our car there for a few more hours so that we could enjoy Southport for longer. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
