We had another fantastic visit to this most wonderful hotel, our first since the pandemic. David, Daniel, and their staff have done a magnificent job of not only maintaining their superb level of service but have also managed to make noticeable yet subtle improvements to their excellent service. Their restaurant is Michelin Star worthy to include their generous breakfast buffet that is included. I can’t say enough about how great the Hotel Castle Rundegg truly is!

The place to stay in Merano. Approximately a 7 minute walk from downtown, along the river. This is a sanctuary of peace and tranquility. The amenities: pool, sauna, whirlpool, are great. The staff is courteous and goes out of their way. Parking is free and right outside. My room was in the Castle proper but i've stayed in the annex as well. When in Merano stay here. Prices are very reasonable.

Unforgettable stay at real Castle. We stayed at the Rundegg Castle in enchanting Merano (Meran) a true Fairy tale setting surrounded by majestic mountains and flowery gardens. where once royalty spent time enjoying themselves about . What a treat to wake up every morning to the welcoming panoramic views from your own room, a different postcard view in every window. You will not find better hosts than those at the Rundegg you feel you are pampered and taken care of. Breakfasts are abundant enough to keep you belly happy, and dinners are endless 5 course and delicious. We enjoyed night live music once a week and it was wonderful. Luchious gardens !!! Excellent spa facilities and in and outside pools for your enjoyment. Castle Rundegg Highly recommended!!!

David the owner was the sweetest & went above & beyond to make us comfortable. The hotel is a 12th cent castle & the pool was amazing!!

We were allotted a standard classic double room for 4 nights. Whether a standard double room or suite, for the fact that the hotel is 4 stars , one would expect better. The furniture was old and extremely basic which could be found in any 3-star establishment. The hotel smelt musty and old immediately upon entering. It was 36C and no AC. I should have asked prior to reserving, so I learned a lesson for the future. The breakfast was very simple and basic without variation. Twice we asked for omelet and twice we were told its either sunny side up or scrambled. It was extremely noisy as we had to keep all the windows open all the time due to the extreme heat. The hotel is on a main road and the traffic is very heavy.

David und sein Team verzauberten uns die Tage – danke! Lobby, Zimmer, Spa, Garten, Essen, Trinken – garniert mit Charme, unaufgeregten Herzlichkeit und menschliche Wärme verbreitend – so wohltuend! Wir verbrachten gerade vier sehr schöne Tage im Castel Rundegg. Begeistert hat uns die herzliche, wohltuend ungekünstelte Freundlichkeit, die uns überall im Haus und besonders im Restaurant entgegengebracht wurde. Dafür ein extra Dankeschön. Das Zimmer „Elegance“ mit einer kleinen Terrasse ist sehr geräumig und komfortabel, die Betten äußerst bequem. Als etwas unpraktisch empfand ich nur die vier recht großen Zierkissen, da wir nicht recht wussten, wo wir sie verstauen sollten, schließlich wollten wir sie nicht einfach auf den Boden legen. Das Abendmenü im Rahmen der Halbpension besticht durch die liebevolle und abwechslungsreiche Zusammenstellung der erstklassig zubereiteten Gänge, es gab keine Wiederholungen, alles war saisonal und von bester Qualität. Das Lachstartar habe ich zum Beispiel noch nie so schmackhaft gegessen wie im Castel, purer Genuss in wunderschönen, geschmackvoll ausgestatteten Räumen, in denen das Gewölbe für eine ganz besondere Atmosphäre sorgt!

Abbiamo passato una settimana, dal 28/12 al 3/01, in mezza pensione,. La sistemazione è stata molto confortevole: camera, con giardino privato, salottino e camerina, un bagno spazioso con vasca e doccia. La colazione ottima, per assortimento e freschezza. A cena abbiamo potuto apprezzare una cucina gustosa, attenta al territorio, accompagnata da una una carta dei vini molto interessante. La SPA ci ha accolto dopo le escursioni, al freddo, in quota, permettendoci di rilassarci e di recuperare la giusta temperatura. Ma il plus è rappresentato dallo Staff, partendo da David e Daniele e, a seguire, tutto il personale della recption e di sala, che con la loro disponibilità ed il loro sorriso, ci hanno fatto sentire a casa.

Sono stato con tutta la Mia famiglia (11 persone) per trascorrere il Natale. Ogni anno organizziamo per riunirci. L'esperienza di quest'anno presso il castel Rundegg rimarrà un ricordo indimenticabile. Già ero stato in questo hotel diversi anni fa. La struttura è meravigliosa. La Cordialità e l'attenzione dei proprietari e di tutto lo staff è stata eccellente, ottima la cucina, ottima la posizione per chi vuole sciare e per chi vuole godersi una Merano stupenda. Ottima anche la struttura della SPA. Un grazie particolare a David e Daniele per l'assistenza e anche per.... la pazienza.
