Visited South Shields for two nights on business this week 09/04-11/04/25. From start to finish the staff on site were so incredibly helpful and interactive it was rather refreshing. Special thanks to Sam & Helen on reception and also two ladies in the buffet/ breakfast kitchen, they were awesome. Room was clean and presentable and breakfast ( buffet style) was great. Please be aware that only breakfast is available at the moment as the neighbouring pud has been sold and is currently closed. I would recommend a 5 min drive to Vespa Italian and steak house on A194 or you can walk in to South Shields ( a lovely 1 hour leisurely walk) and visit Ocean Rd where there is a choice of multiple curry restaurants and bars. The beach is fantastic and there is a fun fair for younger members ( or big kids!) but this was closed on our visit. All in all a great town to visit. THANK YOU EVERYONE ❤️❤️

I booking this hotel by mistake, thinking I had booked North Shields but stayed longer than intended because I was so comfortable. The room was newly refurbished and pleasany and the bed exceptionally comfortable. It was quiet and I got a great sleep and at breakfast both the continental and cooked options were very nice. Staff are very warm, friendly and helpful and reception is very welcoming. I also found the coastal area lovely.

The staff at this Premier Inn were great, from Suzanne who checked us in, the friendly house keeping team, Samantha on reception, Chris on night reception and Brooke on breakfast and Hellen who checked us out, perfect stay.

We received a warm welcome upon arrival after a 6 hour drive. Room was large, modern, clean, comfortable and pretty luxurious. Buffet Breakfast was superb (full english) with black pudding on offer alongside the imposters (hash browns) . A special mention for the chef, Brooke, quality ingredients cooked perfectly & Asha who was friendly and super efficient. Both ladies were happy and friendly, singing along as they worked, acoomodating requests for veggie sausages, engaging in in small talk without compromising service for any of the other diners/guests. Such a wonderful experience for our spectacular weekend at the Women’s Rugby World cup. We would definitely re-visit and highly recommend this very well located premier in. I usually look for a Premier Inn for a UK town/city stay, as I feel ‘you know what you’re going to get’ I.e. clean and comfortable. The South Shields hotel was the usual good standard, the exception was the breakfast team who went over and above, ensuring that food was constantly available as soon as possible, and guests were looked after very well, despite being a very busy Women’s Rugby World Cup start weekend. Well done and thank you to chef Brooke, and FOH Asha, for making us feel very welcome and looked after.

Just checked in to this Premier inn only to find that Brewers Fayre pub is permanently closed and the nearest eating places are at least 2 miles away a letdown very disappointed

What a lovely stay we have had are South Shield Premier Inn. The lovely receptionists provided a warm welcome and the ladies Brooke and Asha served a delicious breakfast. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The food hot and plentiful and all the staff were friendly. Altogether an excellent experience. Family of 6 rested and full and would definitely be returning.

Faultless Premier Inn Service and accommodation but nothing within walking distance for evening food or drink. The usual Brewers Fare no longer available at this site. You may find the Premier Inn at the North Shields with a Brewers Fare and local retail park a better choice.
