Hotel Moloka’I Morotai

Run away from this establishment! We should have taken into account the catastrophic comments from customers. We had to change rooms twice. In the first, a water leak in the ceiling (which did not date from the day before given the mold!) had completely soaked my friend's pillow. In the second, large cockroaches were running on one of the nightstands and the end of the nearby bed. And it made the employee laugh who came to crush them... Finally we ended up in a third room where this time the air conditioning compressor was whistling outside. I am not the type to leave bad comments, and even less to fuss in a hotel, but given the dirtiness of the rooms (disgusting bathroom with traces of previous customers' feces on the shampoo dispenser) and the staff who don't give a damn, this is the first time I've seen that! Really a shame for an establishment that, if it were well maintained (ceiling that had just collapsed above one of the entrances), could be perfect. And no commercial gesture! Luckily we had only paid for one night! The only positive points are the swimming pool (functional), the laundry service and the proximity to the port.

A disaster, unfortunately. I was really nervous about it, as my boyfriend had already stayed here in 2019 and had only good things to say. The current manager has no idea what he's doing. Cleanliness isn't being praised in this case. The staff has no training, but they're really nice and friendly. English is barely spoken. And all antisocial people who don't follow the rules are accepted as guests. On several evenings, some guests smoked in the hallway until late in the morning, and afterwards, a lot of trash was left behind. The manager said nothing and did nothing, even though we complained several times. What a shame!

Very nice and helpful staff, but that's about it. The rooms weren't clean, and people smoked everywhere in the hallways and some of the rooms until late into the night. The manager here also completely failed. Even after repeated complaints, nothing was done. I was here five years ago, and things have changed completely for the worse. Never again.
