Fallen Tree Farm Bed and Breakfast

Staying here felt like staying with family. The house is beautiful, and it’s obvious that a lot of love and care goes into running the property. The bed was comfortable and, despite it being an older home, it stayed nice and warm all night. The grounds are beautiful this time of year with all the leaves changing. The owner said there was a wedding coming in after we checked out and I can 10000% see the appeal of having a fall wedding there. Absolutely beautiful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and fresh. Again, clearly a lot of love and time was put into every aspect of the experience. And the dogs and cats on the property were super friendly and adorable. We very much felt welcomed by the staff and look forward to staying again sometime soon.

Where do I even begin? The property is beautiful and has the look and feel that I always imagined when getting married. Outdoorsy and real and comforting. Kim was amazing from day one and took care of everything. We sat with her and explained what we wanted and I shared my Pinterest for color and bouquet ideas, she took it from there. The officiant was also amazing, she sat with us and got to know us and helped customize the ceremony perfectly. The food was absolutely delicious and the cake and cupcakes are on a level you’ve never had before I can promise that. I don’t know how Kim did it but she created my bouquet directly from my mind. She pulled inspiration from my Pinterest and got it perfect! Everyone was so nice and helpful and caring it made my nerves more manageable for sure. Also, there are adorable kitties on the property and two dogs that we got to meet at the end of the night before going up to our room. The room was beautiful, the whole house is beautiful, the history behind it and all of the pictures and decor was just so perfect. It was refreshing walking out on our balcony in the morning and looking over the property before enjoying our delicious breakfast in bed. Kim and her skills and kindness and accommodations made our day more than I could’ve ever hoped for. We and our family had an amazing time and everyone loved everything and frequently commented how gorgeous everything was and how beautiful the property is. 1000% recommend. A lovely late 1700's Inn. We had a very nice overnight stay in both the Grey Mare's room and the Library Room. Both rooms were cozy and comfortable. The innkeeper. Kim, is very sweet and helpful, in making dinner plans, where to shop, etc. She also prepares a wonderful breakfast. This really is a farm, as they have chickens, horses, dogs and roosters that you can easily hear in the morning. The B and B is decorated beautifully inside and out and you will certainly be happy you stayed there.

Beautiful B&B inside and out! Kims breakfasts are 5 star, really! Very cozy room that was the Library. Had a fire on the patio all we did was light the match! Close to Carlisle and the show but was also only a 30 minute drive to Gettysburg. Great front porch and patio. Trying to figure out how soon we can get back

A wonderful place to stay that is filled with history and unique charm. Comfortable accommodations, quiet, and a delicious breakfast. The property is set off the road quite a bit and the gardens and landscape offer a serene outdoor environment. Woke up each morning to the birds chirping.

It’s difficult to find NICE pet-friendly places, but Broken Tree Farm is as good as it gets: a charming old house with nicely decorated period rooms, modern conveniences (nice bathroom, lots of plugs, wi-fi, TV, A/C), delicious full breakfast, and a host who couldn’t have been more welcoming to us and to our dog. If you want to step back in time for just a little more $ than the chain hotels, this is your place. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and it’s just a couple of miles from 81 and downtown Carlisle. In short, it’s a perfect overnight place to break up a long road trip, in our case Boston to Durham, NC. We will be back!
