Fantastic rooms that feel really luxurious. The large freestanding bath is a great plus and it was silent and pitch black at night - great for a restful escape from the city.

Came for a spur of the moment dinner, was pleasantly suprised with the warm atmosphere, wonderful staff and amazing food. 100% recommend. We ate from the special events menu for burns night, have to say best meal I've had in a long time. Looking forward to my next visit.

We had an amazing stay! Everything was perfect. The hotel is charming in such a tasteful way, and the staff is incredibly kind. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of choices, and the wine is excellent. We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut, and the temperature was just right, with great amenities in the room. We truly had a lovely stay and felt right at home. 100% recommended!

A hidden luxury haven with everything you need. Great quality products, super-comfortable bed and pillows, and the woodburner that you can stare into for hours on end. The staff were all very professional and friendly (a mention to Rory, Luis & Teddy). We loved the Mason Arms for a super-tasty breakfast & evening meal. We'll be back!

Stayed in the Stable Room, with our two Mini-Schnauzers.... beds and treats for them waiting.. Wonderful room. Great reception from Rory. Food in Mason Arms was excellent. Unfortunately my mum was taken ill and we had to leave so I could catch a flight. The hotel and staff (Amy T, and the man with whom I spoke on check-out) were amazing and really kind. We booked a deal so I couldn't get a refund for the last night but they made up for it with some adjustments against our food spend. I could not recommend them highly enough. We will be back. One of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Our room was gorgeous with amazing decor and every amenity we needed, the bed was incredibly comfortable and Rory who checked us in and took care of us over dinner in the pub was super helpful and friendly. The setting of the pub is beautiful and every detail was taken care of. Hope to come back and stay again soon.
