Fantastic rooms that feel really luxurious. The large freestanding bath is a great plus and it was silent and pitch black at night - great for a restful escape from the city.

Celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary here and found it perfect in every way. It's welcoming and informal and our room (8, in the stables) was cosy yet generous, with a private patio (would be great in summer). Lovely minibar treats & snacks, a super-comfortable bed, and blissfully well-heated. A wonderful pub to be attached too, with the added bonus of room-service, so you can have breakfast at your leisure (and probably one of the tastiest we've had). Pretty walks on the doorstep. The 13th century church just up the road is beautiful and well worth popping into. Witney is about 20 mins' drive with a good selection of cafes, pus and restaurants, though to be honest I could've happily stayed on site the whole weekend! Highly recommended ...

Loved our stay! Bedrooms were gorgeous, super comfy beds and loved that we had a fireplace. Bathroom also beautiful with brilliant water pressure. Best part was the Mason Arms. We spent probably way more time in there than we should - meals and cocktails were spectacular. Was a top shelf way to spend a few cold winter days away.

Cosy, warm and welcoming! Friendly staff and decent food……they did put is in the wrong room, but never mind 😂 It did not spoil our sleep or comfort……the room was a generous size, we had a big comfy bed, powerful shower and a wood burner what else do you need?

Came for a spur of the moment dinner, was pleasantly suprised with the warm atmosphere, wonderful staff and amazing food. 100% recommend. We ate from the special events menu for burns night, have to say best meal I've had in a long time. Looking forward to my next visit.

We had an amazing stay! Everything was perfect. The hotel is charming in such a tasteful way, and the staff is incredibly kind. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of choices, and the wine is excellent. We stayed in the Shepherd's Hut, and the temperature was just right, with great amenities in the room. We truly had a lovely stay and felt right at home. 100% recommended!
