I have no idea how this property has received 9.4 rating. The reason we booked it was for the ratings and also the walkable distance to the event that we were attending. Upon arrival into our room, we were immediately greeted by a very obnoxious refrigerator that would hum loudly on and off. We booked three nights. When asked to have it replaced, Randall the property manager condescendingly told us, “most people aren’t accustomed to sleeping in their kitchen.” my response was, “I have stayed in many hotels where the refrigerators in the same room, and not experienced this. He sent a maintenance man up who looked at it and said I can’t do anything about this because they are all like this. so if you like to have some quiet on your stay, I would not suggest booking this hotel. Also they do garbage service at 7 AM on Monday morning and it is a very loud and noisy area. On a positive side, it’s right across the street from the heavenly gondola, and a short walk to the ******s.

Great location in South Tahoe, EASY walk to gondola, shopping and restaurants. Motel and room were very clean (daily house keeping service) and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It is an older property and the rooms and furniture definitely have some wear and tear. However bed and bedding were new and very comfortable. Shower was hot and had great oressure! Only complaint was the room did not have a smart TV so in-room entertainment very limited.

Great location. Free breakfast left something to be desired. Coffee was good. Beds and pillows were ok. However this place was clean and in a great location. Would definitely stay again.

You’ve got everything you need, when you go for a ski trip with your family. Location js the best: 2 small blocks from Gondola. You also get free parking. The continental breakfast was minimal, but we didnt really expect much anyway. We didnt hear any noise,

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The room was very clean, and I felt very safe. The location was perfect for skiing at Heavenly. It was also very nice to be within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and the ******s. The front desk staff was very friendly and efficient. I enjoyed the continental breakfast (bagels, fruit, oa**eal, coffee and juice). I will definitely stay here again.

Great and clean place to stay, very close to the Gondola and shops. Room felt a bit cold even with the heater unit on but not a big deal.
Would definitely stay here again, very friendly staff .

Good enough for the price, clean and friendly staff, but our room was so cold we couldn't sleep well, seemed the heater wasn't working right. At least there were some extra blankets.

This is a decent hotel in South Lake. We chose it because of the proximity to the Heavenly Gondola and the included breakfast. The room was a little dated but seemed clean. The breakfast was definitely not great, just bagels and oa**eal with coffee and tea. It would be nice if they offered a protein. They did allow us to leave our vehicle there the day of checkout which was really great.
