We met family in MN at Izatys. Originally we were going to have an Air B&B but my husband called the resort and they said they had this place and it was a bit less money, so he booked it. What a mistake! Starting at the desk, as we were being checked in the lady told us how to get there, to the WRONG building. Then we couldn't find Unit 245 . After driving all around we had to call to get correct directions, back to the main road and down another. When we arrived we immediately were faced with thousands of bugs all over the outside door and walls. Upon entering we were hit with an odor which didn't last long, probably due to being closed up. This unit really is a nice space with 4 bedrooms, the flooring was not bad. That's where is stops. The kitchen: counter was chipped on the edges and on top, the cupboards were so sticky my husband had to open them. The charcoal grill hadn't been cleaned for a long time, and we discovered as we were leaving there were dishes in the dish washer, unknown if they were dirty or clean, we had used paper plates, etc, so no need to look. The kitchen, dining, living area were all open, great for visiting with our family. The couch looked like it came form a thrift shop, dirty and sunken, the rest of the furniture was decent. The internet password didn't work on any device. The bedrooms: only twin beds, which were like camp beds, very cheap and missing pillows with pillowcases. The beds looked like a kid had jumped on all of them, they were all messed up. The blinds were crooked, there were spiders and bugs in the corners of the bedrooms and great space. The Bathrooms: Horrible! Dirty, spiders, very worn. Grout was nasty, everything stained with rust. We had to go and buy toilet paper and paper towels, only one trash bag for the kitchen. The towels were ok, but worn. Showers were small and outdated. The floor grate in one bathroom was not level with floor and was a tripping hazard. We went to the Pro Shop to ask some questions about the building. The sign says there is a Grocery Store, wrong.... no grocery store and the bar has limited hours, open until 8 pm, we didn't go there. The lady in the Pro Shop was very abrupt and not welcoming. There was a food truck with limited breakfast menu. There is no pool and we were told that the repairs are being disputed between the owners. The area is beautiful, the sunsets were fantastic and we did have a lovely time despite the accommodations. When we checked out we asked for the manager, it was the lady who directed us to the wrong place. She had excuses for everything but did give us a night off. Then when we got the bill we were overcharged of all things.....the cleaning fee! $50 extra! We are disputing that charge as well. Perhaps the Air B&B's would be better, this unit certainly would never make it as one.

On our recent stay at a timeshare unit, the furniture and outside of the units are in need of repair or replacement. Because of a disagreement with the resort, there are no amenities, the pool is dry, and we were asked not to walk on the dock near the marina by someone from the building where there used to be a restaurant. So sad how it has been mismanaged.

I am compelled to share my harrowing experience with the Village at Izatys to warn others of the deceptive practices and injustices I have faced as a timeshare owner. This establishment is nothing short of a scam, and I urge prospective buyers to steer clear of this predatory trap. Being lured into becoming a timeshare owner at the Village at Izatys has been a nightmare that I wouldn't wish upon anyone. The illusion of investment potential quickly shattered into a harsh reality of financial entrapment and unfulfilled promises. What was marketed as a lucrative venture turned out to be a manipulative scheme designed to exploit unsuspecting individuals like myself. Despite my earnest attempts to break free from this suffocating arrangement, I find myself held hostage by the association associated with the Village at Izatys. The sheer audacity of denying me the right to terminate my ownership, especially considering the health issues that now prevent me from honoring this timeshare obligation, is appalling. It is disheartening to be met with such callous disregard for genuine hardships and personal circumstances. This ordeal has revealed the true colors of the Village at Izatys, painting a picture of greed and indifference towards the well-being of its patrons. The sense of betrayal and helplessness that accompanies being trapped in this timeshare web is beyond words. What was supposed to be a sanctuary for relaxation and leisure has transformed into a source of immense stress and regret. In conclusion, Anyone considering involvement with the Village at Izatys should think twice and protect themselves from falling victim to this elaborate facade. Save yourself from the anguish and turmoil that comes with being ensnared in this timeshare nightmare. Avoid the Village at Izatys at all costs. Your financial well-being and peace of mind are far too valuable to be sacrificed at the altar of deception and exploitation.

We stayed in Unit A2AB. We booked this because we had 8 people in our party. It held 8 comfortably, however there were issues. Counter tops were sticky and dirty. Bring Clorox wipes to clean up. I wiped everything down, including tables, chairs and entire kitchen. The master bathroom shower door could have used wiping down of mold too. Bottom track and seal needs to be cleaned. Pots were dirty and caked with a brown substance (see photos). There was no Dawn dish soap to clean them with and the scouring pad that was left had been used (see photos). I ran the dishes and utensils I planned on using through the washer, only to realize, there was some kind of substance in the filter causing a smell and preventing the dishes from getting clean. After cleaning the filter, washer worked much better. Marty from the front desk was accommodating and provided us with a new scouring pad and bottle of Dawn dish soap. She also provided us with some aluminum foil when we needed a small amount for the grill. The mattress on the sleeper sofa in the loft is disgusting. It is stained in multiple locations and just gross! There was no mattress cover for it. We were most disappointed to find the doors to the hot tub locked. I called about this and was told we weren't allowed to use it, according to the Health Department. Apparently, it is only allowed to be used for owners of the week, not for someone that just traded 135,000 points and their Christmas week at Disney because it does not have a big enough motor and can't be used to often?!? This was very disappointing as it was something we had planned to use as a group. I rented a golf cart for the week, which was a great perk to have since there's quite a distance between the pool, marina, and Proshop and the unit, however, we weren't allowed on the golf course trails. We could only travel on the roads. I would still recommend renting a golf cart for the week. The entire unit needs a good cleaning. There were food splatters on the wood in the kitchen and on the wall behind the table. The sofa and rug is dated and the unit could use modernizing. The shell and outside is in good shape. The views are nice as you get so see golfers on the 2nd tee. Master bed was firm but clean. All other beds were clean. The view from the windows is the start of the second tee on the golf course. It is entertaining to watch the golfers that come by throughout the day. Very pretty landscaping around the unit and maintained greens of the golf course. If you want a marina view, book units D, E, or F. You will also be located on the 18th hole. Best views and location in my opinion. There is no beach even though it is advertised. It's simply a nice place to collect rocks and shells and provides an amazing view of the sunset. All that said, the location at of Izaty's is beautiful and I would go back again, but stay in a more modern unit or through Izaty's itself in one of their townhomes, which look much nicer and they are located directly on
